So... he's 15. Close enough! He was an infant when we were playing OoT originally. Welcome to Forest Temple. I will admit, that part kicked my ass for HOURS. Know what else? Dodongo's Cavern and Jabu Jabu and damn near every other dungeon after the first! I been playing Zelda since the ORIGINAL too! What did I do? Worked through it. Water Temple took me about 2 months because I would get ticked and pause until I could come back ready. BTW, this was before I learned of the (then) new website GameFAQs.com and before I had a guide.

Dear lord why didn't they just remake Majora's Mask? The whole mask mechanic in it was so much more interesting than the time mechanic in OoT. Not that is was a bad mechanic. It was so good infact that they slapped it into MM as well.

Ocarina of Time, regardless of its actual quality, is just one of those games you don't bad mouth on the internet unless you want to get verbally abused. (See Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 7)

I know this sounds stange but you may be too young to get it, when I played it on the 3DS the difficulty wasnt too hard because I felt that how to beat the game was just part of the general ether of society, as I had seen so many people play the game I knew all the secretes, then again even if it is mostly nostalga glasses I would rather be happy then an cynic

I played this game when I was 17, having already played a Link to the Past, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker years before it, and I still thought it was incredible. Nostalgia has nothing to do with it.

Great atmosphere that actually made it feel like an adventure. Combat that was a huge step up over Ocarina. Good backstory. Ganon's actually a little sympathetic. Pirates. What's not to like?

If you can't beat Ocarina of Time, a game I beat when I was like 6, you have problems worse then your favorite game being super smash brothers. Not much worse, but worse none the less.


That being said, I'm pretty sure you're just a shitty troll. I mean, nobody could be this ignorant without making an effort. But if you can, kudos to you.

The only thing I could infer from your post is that you suck at zelda. It's not even the puzzles you're stuck on, it's combat. I mean, there's literally two buttons and a stick. That's all there is to combat. Somehow, it's simpler then super smash brothers combat, which you've obviously figured out.


Actually, I'm not going to get started on SSBB. But still, you suck, and so do your opinions.

People are allowed to have their own opinions. And there's nothing wrong with liking Super Smash Bros.

Anyway, I'm surprised you find it so difficult; I thought that the 3D version was really easy. I was able to kill those skeleton dudes in no time (I did have the Biggoron Sword, though).

In my opinion, it definitely felt easier than the Nintendo 64 version.

I just do. It is the worst game I have ever played. I'm not trolling, I legitimately hate this game. I went in expecting an engrossing story, gripping action and fiendish puzzles. I should be getting it, but the game keeps throwing up hurdles and forces me to visit the Sheikah stone more than I should be.

It's the exact same reason I hate LOS:TEN. (Oh, god, here I go again...) I get into the game, I start having fun, and then the difficulty spikes so hard it comes back around and rapes you.

But this game is even worse because I was expecting the greatest game ever. Maybe the greatest game ever is hiding behind the Forest Temple, which contains a room with 3 skeleton sodiers that are ridiculously hard to defeat, you have to take them on at the same time, and if you take too long killing the last one, the first one you killed COMES BACK TO LIFE AND SLICES YOU OPEN WHILE YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL THIS LAST ONE. I mean, WHAT THE HELL?

If you've never played Ocarina of Time before, don't waste your money. It's a festering pile of rotten fruit glittered up with fancy 3D graphics. Do not play this game. You will just set yourself up for a kick in the balls.

I'm a Nintendo fanboy. I bought the 3DS at launch, SSBB is my favorite game, and I make NES/SNES pixel art in Minecraft. So if this game is bad to someone who follows Nintendo like a puppy on a leash, it has to be pathetic.

Dude dont say not to buy the game, it just wasnt for you. I highly recommend getting it its the best Zelda out there for me at least. Of course I grew up playing it, .

Well, its nice and all...lol. I didnt particularly like it as much, hated having to travel by boat for hours to get wherever i wanted to go until like 3/4ths into the game when u get the travelly song thing ... But my point is, ocarina is definitely a god send, it was what revolutionized games, what it represents is way bigger, wind waker was a step up but it just can't be compared x3!
