I don't understand people that shout stuff at their TV or games consoles. I never say anything in front of it unless it's voice chat.

Grand Theft Auto 4... Brucie keep me from enjoying it.
Are you serious? Brucie was the best character in GTA4!

I call Mirrors Edge, LBP definately, and MGS4 in parts.

really? I found LittleBigPlanet fun and easy. Ah well, guess thats just me.

Anyway, the last game I said this to was Call of Duty 4. I can take only so much martyrdoms, M16 grenade launcher kills, and just all around bull that pisses me off.

I have also shut off Guitar Hero. It was just too boring for me to handle.

And World of Warcraft. So boring I would rather play every new sonic game 3 times over than play WoW.

I tried giving these games another shot but I just can't do it.

The new version of Colonization. It's utter shit compared to the pure joy of the original. I had a dream the other night that I was playing it, threw my keyboard across the room, and shouted, "FUCK THIS GAME!"

It was actually a dream. I love my keyboard.

I usually say "I hate this game!" when I'm playing a game I enjoy but is very frustrating. It happened a lot with GTA IV, especially when the game refused to register Niko's grip on the fucking helicopter near the end.

Killer7. It was some desert level and you had to shoot some giant Heaven's Smile in the eye. I never got past that part for some reason and gave up on the game. Which is a shame because I wanted to see the crazy story to the end.

GTA IV, for its bike physics....wait, make that any GTA that's been on next gen console with it's f'ing bike phsyics. one mission stands between me and the final one....and it involves a chase on a bike.

Star Fox assault, never beat the last level, got fed up with having to memorize the whole damn thing and die every time I hit a new part.

Shadow the Hedgehog, never picked up another sonic game after that. Nuff Said.

If I think of anymore I'll edit them into this.

Dead rising. Roman's constant calls were annoying but at least he didn't call while you were in the middle of getting devoured by the undead. Then gets pissed off when you don't pick up.

Prey.

Due to the fact that you couldn't actually die, they compensated with stupidly overpowered enemies and terrible combat controls so the entire game became a test of your patience. A bit like Prince if Persia.

The frame rate made the shooting sections completely chaotic at times.

The shuttle sections were just so awful that I found myself many many times muttering how much I hated the stupid game...

Master of Orion 3 was so booooorrrriiiiinnnggggg!

Nothing seemed to actually happen in that game.

I took it back and exchanged it for BF1942 - so I guess it was good for something.

Crysis Warhead.
There's a tiny teeny part of a mission where you have to defend your position against waves of Alien thingys so your guy can plant C4 to blow the cave entrance in.
That's fine and all, except for the fact that the moment you try to control the turret that turns these enemies into so much mush, your ally will walk in front of the gun, or ontop of you, thereby blocking all shots towards said enemies, until they are too close and the gun then turns you and your enemy and your allies into swiss cheese. And if by some miracle your ally doesn't block your shots from the beginning, once you get to the second to last wave, they will do it, thereby stopping you from killing the monsters who are throwing big explosive balls at you.
I eventually gave up, took shelter behind the truck, and let the allies do the work until I was forced to join in. That worked fine for the most part, except for the fact that your allies will shoot the closest enemy, no matter how close, so if you're anywhere near them or the enemy, your now dead. Well done, start from the fucking beginning. I must've tried that sequence 15 times before giving up for the first night, then another 10-15 the next day.
Fucking stupidest sequence in the whole game.
The rest of it was fine though =]

I said it when playing Call Of Duty 4.
When playing on veteran there are infinite enemies.
Took me hours to do. Especially in the TV tower!

Happened me with Ninja Gaiden Sigma. God I despise that game!

Devil May Cry 3 is another one, it just didn't grab as it seemed to grab the attention of many other action/adventure fans. I hate Dante but it's more than that, I'm just not sure exactly what.

GTA IV is also a contender for this... it's realistic and cinematic but not much fun. There's the odd fun section but most of the time the game is boring. I don't know exactly why I find it boring, perhaps it's the realsitic car controls, which just aren't fun for the amount of time you spend driving. Anyway I keep starting it up again, playing a few missions and then leaving it for weeks at a time to play something I actually really enjoy. I keep thinking there must be something that the reviewers see that I'm missing. So far I haven't found a whole lot.

But doesn't that stop the plot from advancing?

Whenever I run into an insurmountable obstacle in a game I really didn't like, I just take a little lesson from Dane Cook as I drop the controller and turn off the 360.

"Fuck this game!"
