So what great dishes have you invented?
I hope you don't really think you invented the bacon burrito, there's a place in my school that actually sells the things :p
I did invent it, but someone else might have invented it first.

God damn. I haven't eaten in about 12 hours, then I stumble upon this thread.

Are you people mocking me? I mean, I really want to try some of these recipes now.

Not me but a friend:

Get baked beans, add cheese, heat and stir whilst adding a herb of some kind (Can't recall the name of it)= Mother of god...

I chopped some walnuts and apricots, mixed it up with some Stilton cheese, herbs de Provence and fresh sliced chilli.

Then I sliced open some chicken breasts and stuffed them with my walnut/apricot/Stilton/chilli mixture.

Then I wrapped the stuffed chicken breasts in smoked streaky bacon, coated them in a breadcrumb and herb mixture, then slowly baked them in the oven.

They were absolutely delicious.

The sweet fruity apricots contrasted really well with the sharp creamy Stilton, which also contrasted well with the hot chilli bite. That combined with the chicken and bacon flavours and the wholesome, earthy flavours of the walnuts and breadcrumbs really made the whole meal a taste explosion, with lots of complimentary and contrasting flavours and textures with every bite. Also because the chicken breasts were double wrapped, they were still succulent and juicy... cooked to perfection.

Fired potato omelette.

Boil skinned potatoes till cooked. Wait to cool. Slice and fry in butter. Add omelette mix over when they are brown on both sides. Add any of the following - grated cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onions, peppers etc etc. Serve on a warm plate with tomato sauce. Collapse satisfied.

Lose the cheese, instead utilise black peppercorns, some freshly ground black pepper, and mix in some diced black olives, tiny bits of red bell peppers and garlic, and perhaps some oregano and parsley.

Gourmet baked beans. Stunning.
Thanks for deciding what I'm gonna have for lunch tomorrow, sounds win although it may warrant a shopping trip.

I put french fries on my burgers, but I think that's already called something...

"Heart Attack" or something like that.
My Irish Friend who runs a Pub sells a half pounder burger that's filled (not a side order, but in the Burger) with a fried egg, a deep fried potatoe mash slice, bacon and the standard trimmings of salad, tomatoe, mayo and ketchup. Its called the "Ward 17 Burger" after his local Hospital's cardiac ward, you know, the ward for heart attacks. Only 2 people can manage to finish it off so far, I'm one of them.

As a professional cook, looking at that title and seeing exactly what is being claimed as so amazing along with the rest of the insanity posted here, I feel like Aaron Rodgers looking at a Peewee football team win a game and saying they're superbowl contenders...a sort of eyerolling bemusement.

Awww, isn't that cute? The kiddies think they're pros. How adorable! *patronizing headpat* Now go run along while I finish my rosemary garlic butter roasted lamb with yukon gold dauphine potatoes, haricot vert almondine, and bacon soubise.

Hmm, I've yet to really invent anything. Though mom's got a recipe that's been said to break a few Geneva Codes that have to do with bio-chemical weapons...

Mississippi Mud Cake
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup self rising flour
1 1/2 cup pecans (optional)
4 sticks of butter
2/3 cup of cocoa
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 7oz jar of mashmellow cream
1 pound of powder sugar
1/2 cup of can milk

Instructions:
Combine first four ingredients and 3 sticks of butter, 1/3 cup of cocoa and 1 teaspoon of vanilla in large bowl, mix well
Pour into 9X13 pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes
spread marshmellow cream over hot cake and let cool
mix powdered sugar, can milk, 1 stick of butter, 1/3 cup of cocoa, 1 teaspoon of vanilla into a bowl, then spread over cake

Refrigerated, un-heated bacon is very much like ice cream to me.

I just had dinner actually which was spaghetti but I added some red-rooster hot sauce. It gave the spaghetti sauce a nice kick and some much needed flavor.

My friend made a bacon cheeseburger with a 4 cheese macaroni and cheese brick on top of it, that was deep fried, then covered in more cheese sauce. It was the best thing I've ever eaten. I, personally, have made extra cheesy mashed potatoes. I get about 5 lbs of potatoes, add 2 lbs of cheese and also add bacon bits/chopped up bacon. Only one of the two cheeses i use ever the same (American for high salt content.) I work in a deli so I experiment with different types. I'm making them tomorrow with Pepper jack. I've put marinated steak tips in the potatoes a time or two as well.

Imagine a sandwich laid out as displayed below.

French toast (eggy bread)
3x bacon
fried bread
3x bacon
French toast (eggy bread)

It's an egg and bacon sandwich, without the hassle of egg spilling everywhere when the yolk breaks. The fried bread centre is overkill, but the crunch really makes the whole thing perfect!
