Woah, holy shit dude, I have an electronica band no one listens to as well! I have some stuff on Youtube. Name is x^2. you can look it up if you like. You'll have scroll down a lot though.PoisonUnagi said:I like some techno, preferably the stuff that classifies itself as Electronica.
Speaking of which, I made an entire album [http://www.villafuzz.net84.net]'s worth of Electronica in the weekend... I can haz feedback?
I suppose you could try uploading the sound files to one of those file-hosting sites, and just throw the links at people.scumofsociety said:Yeah, I think I have most of it on mp3 or wav lying around somewhere as well as having everything I made backed up on the original sequencer programme although I don't have that installed atm. Someone else asked if I could post them on an electronic music thread a while back but I don't know how to do that with music.
PS: Beat you to it with GFB Speedcore Lacrima![]()
Might give that a go. It's a bit late to start fiddling around now where I am but I'll bookmark this page and give it a go tomorrow.Arachon said:I suppose you could try uploading the sound files to one of those file-hosting sites, and just throw the links at people.
Speedcore Lacrima is a nice track, kind of a melodic quality that I've found hard to find in most similar tracks by other Djs.
You're probably right on the genres. I was never that good at knowing the specifics of all of them. I'm really diggin that Gabba Front Berlin.Arachon said:OP: I think the word you are looking for is 'EDM' rather than 'Techno'.
And as for the music, I like it, I frequently attend Rave parties... so yeah... I'm generally into Hardcore and Goa-/Psytrance (with subgenres), but I enjoy the occasional Breakbeat and Terrorcore as well.
Goa-/Psytrance
Hardcore
Gabba/Terror-/Speedcore
Breakbeat
Yeah, the drugs are a *****... It's kind of sad they have to be associated with the rave scene, because the music and people themselves are nice, but as soon you bring hard drugs into it, people get so fucked up it's not funny...scumofsociety said:Yes, techno and various subgenres are my choice of music whether you are talking about techno specifically or are just using it as a catch all word for electronic dance/ambient/chillout music. Speedcore, gabba, hard techno and acid techno are my favourites but basically anything that might come under the hardcore techno label.
I used to make my own and DJ at a few squat parties and raves 5-15 years ago and Simon Underground said a few of my tunes were potential releases but then as happens to a lot of ravers too many hard drugs and crazy women knocked me out of the rave circles and crushed my creative spirit. I still have the equipment and all the tunes but the will to mix and create has gone.
You don't happen to have examples of anything you've produced yourself?
Sounds more like Breakbeat Hardcore to me tbh, which is kind of the precursor to Happy Hardcore.khaimera said:Its Happy Hardcore basically. It reminded me of early nineties rave music since it had elements of jungle. I tend to prefer the darker side of electronic music.

There are so many of us.
As for feedback, well yes, you can has. I listened to every track, and I can say that all of them are pretty good. Rockin' Alive, Haze, My Twisted Massacre, and Coldstorm were the best tracks in my opinion. You might want to try polishing your sound a little bit. The first couple of tracks especially seems very empty and bare, and could definitely be helped by some reverb or something. Try making the sound more finished, I think is the best word. Make sure the tracks are complete before putting them up. But the Album you've got up there is good and is definitely going on my iPod in the event of a download link.
Ninja'd, I just planned to post their whole 1st album. Massive Props though.Instinct Blues said:I myself enjoy Crystal Castles and Rusko apart from that I'm pretty lost on the genre.
These are my favorite Crystal Castles tunes if you'd kindly recommend me more stuff like it as well as some dubstep I'd be much obliged.
No problem dude, always trying to support my fellow indie artists!PoisonUnagi said:Wow, you're the first person to like Rockin' Alivemrpenguinismyhomeboy said:Woah, holy shit dude, I have an electronica band no one listens to as well! Nice one(s)... what program are you using? I don't have much money to spend so I'm using Linux Multimedia Studio at the moment...mrpenguinismyhomeboy said:No problem dude, always trying to support my fellow indie artists!PoisonUnagi said:Wow, you're the first person to like Rockin' Alivemrpenguinismyhomeboy said:Woah, holy shit dude, I have an electronica band no one listens to as well! The first two are from my first EP and the other four are from my first ever full length album that I'm still working on.
I have two EPs done right now, and I'm looking for ways to release them. I wanted to do something with selling them over itunes or something, but I might just give them away for free like you have.
This is a pretty diverse group of tracks, but these are the only ones I have up right now.
Hahahahah I can't hear that one without thinking of the Venture Bros.!!!sketch_zeppelin said:Everybody's free (to feel good)
Aquagen ft. rozalla
I was going to post the entire first album but then my post would be obnoxiously long. Excellent CC choices BTWfullbleed said:Ninja'd, I just planned to post their whole 1st album. Massive Props though. While not so much into techno electonica is good, but I just preffer things with lyrics ussually.
And I'll thrown in some Crystal Castles in there just for good measure. The more people listen to CC the better, gotta get a tattoo of them.
BLack Panther, my fave of the chiptune/circuit bending stuff
Intimate, this song is very.
Well, the OP did explain their choice of words though, but I see your point, bothers me to no end when someone calls something like Psytrance or Terrorcore Techno.AC10 said:Techno != Electronic Music.
This is like calling all Rock music Thrash Metal. It's just incorrect to say.
