So lately i've been growing kinda bored of games // tv and stuff and i need something to do between seeing my mates.. I don't want like a massive hobby that will take up loads of time and be expensive to start up but something simple yet rewarding and entertaining

What are your hobbies? (Besides gaming)

Can you suggest any for me?

Take up the guitar. You can pick up a classical guitar pretty cheap and there are plenty of tutorials online to help you learn.

Entomology.

It's really interesting and you can learn a lot from looking at the little critters we share the world with (who are arguably far more successful than we are). Get yourself a digital camera and you can get some really lovely snaps too.

Hmm... maybe try learning a computer programming language? Python [http://www.python.org/] is a good place to start.

Pick up the Bass Guitar. I would've said drums, but that is very expensive.

Edit: Oddest ninja ever...

Whenever i get bored, I learn something handy, like home repair or just how to build something, then I make it, it not actually as hard as it sounds

Warhammer or a similar tabletop miniature game. Even if you don't like playing battles with your army it is very satisfying to see an entire army that you assembled and painted yourself.
Painting (and learning to paint) is quite time consuming and again quite satisfying as you see your work improve.

Easy to pick up, hard to master. Hours of inexpensive entertainment. I'd also recommend the ball and cup, or pushing a hoop with a stick down the street.

As far as I'm concerned, you get out of hobbies what you put in. If its not worth obsessing over its not worth my time. Perhaps not the healthiest attitude but thats the way I see it.

I write, but I haven't updated in a while.
I also doodle and perform on stage.

Take up a martial art. I did Tae Kwon Doe for a while but gave up.

Drinking, fighting and charming ladies. Or you could learn some cultured bollocks like playing an instrument or writing poetry or whatever
