I need help identifying something I found in my yard

i dunno what it is but it looks like its wearing a sweater and i bet some weird colored goo would come out of both ends if u stepped on it. i remember where i lived in NC there were these big furry caterpillars that i used to run over with my bike and bright yellow goo would shoot out
