hmmm i had to think long and hard about this.....

original i picked a combonation of Halo 3 (although the fact i dont like it is mostley because i suck at it among other things)

then i picked Haze

but at least both of those games ended

Prince of persia....the game that "ended" with a little popup thing saying if you wanted you could buy the "real ending" at the playstation store

I mean seriousley what the fuck, you dont go into a cinima and have to pay extra to watch the last twenty minuits of the film....fuck

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and ModNation Racers. Boring/incomplete and ridiculous load times respectively.
Oh right, thanks. ModNation Racers stunk. Although I didn't actually pay full price, Amazon had it for $57 instead of $60. Close enough though.

I really tried to like that game, I really really did. But in the end, I just couldn't stomach anymore and it went in the trash.

...Okay I took it back out after just in case they ever fix any of that, or so I can sell it, but still. The last game that drove me to the point of throwing it in the trash was the Wii version of Okami, but since I didn't pay full price for that I won't start that rant right now.

Already been said, but Spore and Far Cry 2.
I hated myself even more for the next several days after I bought those games.

Innocent Life for the PS2. They touted it as a futuristic Harvest Moon and I've enjoyed that series, so I picked this up and thought it was utter garbage.

Modern Warfare 2, Spore.

Probably made a few other mistakes in my earlier days, but, those are the recent ones to my memory.
I almost cried when Spore let me down so much, it was nothing like what I expected.

Hmm, probably either AaAaAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity or Bob Came in Pieces. Both are indie games that looked fairly intriguing but I ended up hating them after playing.

Mass Effect 2, mind you, it's a perfectly allright game, but I had hoped it would've lived up to the awesomeness of the first game, so I pre-ordered the collector's edition... Wasn't worth it.

batman arkham asylam, but thats a special case - i bought it at full price, but only played it through once. its on my list of games to replay.
metro 2033 is again a special case - preordered before it came out, and i keep getting the feeling ive wasted money on it, despite the fact ive sunk at least 20 hours into it, and really enjoyed it. im also SICK of the first 4 stations while trying to get the sherlock achievement.
Borderlands at full price, and i feel ive not got my moneys worth out of it, despite the fact im still playing AND enjoying it after at least 30 hours.
i dont think ive ever thought ive wasted money on a full price game. even MW2 i enjoyed during the first play through, and easily got my moneys worth, working out about 50p an hour
overall, my concern over money is this: [price in £]/[hours played]= <1 is good
[price in £]/[hours played]= >1 is not so good
in before "you cant quantify fun blah blah blah"
i know this doesnt always work - see portal, but as a general rule if you can play a £40 game for 40 hours, its either fun, or you are REALLY commited to something you dont like

I would be cool and say Modern Warfare 2, but I think I got my money's worth with that one. I loved the campaign and Spec Ops, and had genuine fun with the multiplayer for about 40 hours. Now, not so much.
YES! Someone else that isnt ragging on MW2 just because its cool to do so! (removed caps after i read forum guidelines and realised it isnt a good idea)
its like everyone on this site has to agree with yahtzee in case he doesnt come to your birthday party. fair enough, he possibly might make you notice something you didnt think of before, like the shark jumping in MW2, but so many people wait for ZP to tell them if thjey like a game, even if theyve already played it
i admit the 12 year olds are annoying though

Got pretty bummed over R.U.S.E.

Played the demo and it was great,it also more or less gives you the full picture of what to expect from the full game. And thats actually the problem, there is nothing more to it, just more of the same over and over.

Borderlands, looked for someone to punch after that.

Turok, Dead space, and Ninja blade...I have always waited a month after a game came out so i had a ample amount of reviews to look at since.
I found Ninja Blade to be freaking fantastic. Sure the story was all over the place, but the action was so awesome and over the top it was like a Ninja Die Hard on coke. Fun :D

WOW! That is bad. I have never payed for something that's torture but this does remind me of Mario Kart Wii which I forgot to mention.

I at least thought I could call MKW a good game but it's average at best, definitely not worth $60. First of you need more chance than skill to win a race, the completely random weapon drops is hectic. Fuckin' instant lightning storms that shrink you and slows you down, Bullet O' Bill who is immortal while perfectly navigates through the course for you and blue shells that travel through the entire race track till it hits the leading player. No matter how skilled you are at the game it doesn't matter in the slightest.

Many of the stages are from the previous 3D Mario Kart games so new and interesting is definitely not words I would choose to describe this game. The new levels are dull anyway, all been done before and they felt rushed, just the same old obstacles over and over.

With the new technology they could take it to the next level (at least Brawl had some interesting idea's in it) but from this game I can tell Nintendo/Sakamoto don't have that ambition to improve on their earlier work. There was the multiplayer online but what's the point when it's bland and random.

Erm, the title of the thread is : I paid full price for this shit? You didnt like Batman AA? Or you define it as shit because it didnt last enough hours? And you still plan on replaying it and still define it as shit?

Dont quite get what you mean. I for one loved Batman AA, best superhero game I have played, and one of the best games I have played period. There is a very specific and easily detectable difference between shit games and short games. I dont think Batman AA falls under either.

Alpha Protocol.

Dear SEGA,
Please just stop, stop making sonic games and stop making RPGs.
(P.S. You can keep making Valkyria Chronicles though, those are awesome.)
Obsidian developed Alpha Protocol. Sega just published the game.

On Topic: Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction was excellent. Sadly that excellence was not able to become incorporated into Mercenaries 2. I had high hopes for that game but in the end it was a bad game.

Fallout 3. The game kept crashing every 30 to 40 minutes, but I persevered. I came as far as the washington monument (with no radio, apparently there's supposed to be music and such, but no.), then it crashes. I restart it and load it up. It crashes again. I try to find a fix. Nothing helps. I start a new game. Again, it crashes at the same place. I redownload the whole thing on a different computer. NOW THE FUCKER CRASHES EVERY 5 MINUTES.
The only thing I will be giving Bethesda from now on are lit pipebombs. Every 30-40 minutes.
