There's some SNES puzzler that's a maze with a marble and you rotate the maze to get the gravity powered marble (which you cant control) to the exit before time runs out. That game put me in a killing mood.

Kid Chamelion (Genesis). The most common powerups in this platformer are a knight suit that will make you break bricks you land on if you aren't careful, and a suit that turns you into a Samurai whose sword slash has a reach of maybe four pixels, and a startup delay of a half second. Also no save at all, and after playing for FOUR hours or more you still won't reach the end.

Cyborg Justice (Genesis). It's like Streets Of Rage, only despite being full of battling cyborgs it manages to be so much less than SOR because the only variety aside from the cyborg configurations, of which only the legs and weapon arm matter, is the level backgrounds.

Armored Core (PS1). The beginning of a boring relationship. They almost got it right in the final games for the PS3. Almost.

Dragon Ball Z Sagas (PS2). How can they call it Sagas when it ends with Cell? I guess 'most of the sagas except the final one' wouldnt sell very well. Also SCREW GOING SSJ2 ON CELL! >:[

Monster Rancher 2 (PS2). The best part was when I used my Gameshark to unlock every monster then went through my house's entire CD colletion to see what they unlocked. The X-Files movie OST unlocked a Henger/Dragon, which is a U.F.O. transformer with a flame paint job. Sounds awesome, and appropreate, but the rest of the game was just so booooooooooring I couldn't comprehend why they made it into a surprisingly decent anime.

It rarely happens to me because I'm discriminating, and I knew what kind of problems Alpha Protocol was going to have.. but wow. I can deal with glitchy gameplay, and I prefer depth to graphics so I wasn't put off by the 90s era cut scenes.. but I just wanted all of the characters to be dead an hour into the game; horribly paced, horribly written conversations just made everyone unlikable. The only anything I've given up on faster was the movie A.I.

If anything is going to get me out of PC gaming it's having to see Alpha Protocol at the top of my Games list. I may mark a screen full of games as favorites just to get AP on the bottom.

Folklore... its seriously awful, using the ps3 sixaxis to catch 'fairies' to fight for you, why did i ever think that'd be a good idea

Soul Calibur IV... really dunno why i got it, dont like fighting games... probably thought it was a good idea at the time as Darth Vader was on the cover

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood... its not as bad as the other 2 but its not particularly good

Yeah I forgot about that part until I lent the game to my girlfriend. Now She's stuck and I have no idea how I possibly went from 1 side of the mall to the other.

Fallout 3. The game kept crashing every 30 to 40 minutes, but I persevered. I came as far as the washington monument (with no radio, apparently there's supposed to be music and such, but no.), then it crashes. I restart it and load it up. It crashes again. I try to find a fix. Nothing helps. I start a new game. Again, it crashes at the same place. I redownload the whole thing on a different computer. NOW THE FUCKER CRASHES EVERY 5 MINUTES.
The only thing I will be giving Bethesda from now on are lit pipebombs. Every 30-40 minutes.
or, you could give them an suggestion that they now print "ENSURE YOUR SYSTEM IS PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF RUNNING THIS GAME BEFORE YOU BUY IT, THAT YOU INSTALL IT CORRECTLY AND CONTACT US ABOUT ANY PROBLEMS YOU HAVE" on the box of every copy they release for PC. Because apparently, some people don't know to do this.
Both systems I tried it on should be more than capable to run it. Installation is handled by Steam. Haven't contacted them though.

World of Warcraft. NEVER buy expansions before you need them. That whole experience was a waste of money.

I find myself going ZOMG WTF!?!? whenever I see someone mention ODST here. I can only think of one criticism for it: the length. Maybe I should start a thread about it... no, wait, it would catch fire moments after its creation, don't wanna do that...

OT: The only game I ever bought full price was Halo: Reach and I adore that, and I've rarely been disappointed in a game anyway, so meh. I guess I'm a rare type of person?

What. Clearly you have no taste, Dead Space is an excellent game.
Dont turn this int oan arguement.

This thread is about games you personally think where a bad and you paid full price for them.

If i started critisizing people's opinion it would really degrade into a flame war.

Do you have a quad core processor by any chance?

If you do, this might help:

Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3
Find the line:

bUseThreadedAI=0

change it to:

bUseThreadedAI=1

Add another line after it and insert:

iNumHWThreads=2

This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze.
Doing that helped me fix my game crashing.
