FUCK TREYARCH!

Besides that, no, I don't want the game. I loved CoD/2/4/MW2.

I despised WaW. I think it was the last WW2 shooter I've seen (THANK GOD), and I hope the modern combat trend will end soon as well.

Can I PLEASE get my WW1 game, guys?
Sure, if you like 30 days of sitting in a trench desperately hoping to outlast artillery fire only to be poison gassed to death or, in one last desperate charge, effortlessly gunned down by the machine gunners on the other side of the trench.

WW1 isn't heroic or fun. It's sad, boring, and trauma-inducing.

If you want a WW1 shooter, you're not going to ever find one. Although, there is a mod for a game "Battlefield 1942" call Battlefield 1918. You'll then realise that WW1 does not make for a good game topic.

Ok, then don't get it. Contrary to popular belief, nobody will kill you if you don't play it and/or love it.

As for the ww1 shooter, not every battle involved trenches. There was quite a lot of mobility early on, particularly on the East Front, though I can't imagine how a fairly well equipped german against a russian with only a single bullet will be balanced in any way...

who buys a game for realisim? oh wait.........I do.Metro 2033 ftw
Metro 2033 counts as realism? I didn't know post apocalyptic subway stations filled with psychic monsters counted as realism. (yeah its a decent game, but no its not even close to realistic.)

If you are tired of call of duty or have mw2 then there really is no point in getting black opps. There are going to be about a dozen shooters coming out this holiday season many of which will feel like a fresher experience than a new CoD game. In my opinion no game series should should have more than one new game every two years. If you release new games in a series more often than that you're just going to tire everyone out of it.

It seems a bit early to judge COD: Black Ops doesn't it? It might actually have a really solid story with a fun campaign. I would like to see a Call Of Duty game that gives you choices on major and minor events in the game and how effects will move the story along. COD: WAW did that a little bit but it never really changed the story all that much.

Black Ops seems closer to reality than Modern Warfare 2, at least.
The detachable-blade Russian knife is real, strapping a bomb onto an RC isn't that hard and... I don't know, where's the silly?

I'm seriously not seeing this game be quite as silly, even with RC bomb cars.

Hell no. Modern Warfare 2 was one of the worst gaming purchases I've made in a long, long time. I didn't even like COD 4 very much in the first place. The sales for Black-Ops will be interesting though; they'll either be great or awful.
:I.....is there anything left to say when it comes to our constant meetings?

I'm sure lots of people will disagree, but I liked CoD 4 for its realism and somewhat believable story. And then Modern Warfare 2 showed up, and basically said "Screw realism" in the first hour of playing when Roach flies across a canyon on a snowmobile. And watching the trailer for Black Ops, it basically looks like more of the same, but bigger. It seems like Call of Duty is the Jaws of video games, getting more and more ridiculous with each installment. So the question is, are you getting Black Ops?
Fucking realism is the best thing that's ever happened to Cod.

And I'm just not getting it cus I want Brink and Fable III more.

I almost regret buying World at War (it's still sort of fun, and I got it for 50% off on Steam), and I didn't bother with Modern Warfare 2, so I'll be avoiding Black Ops.

I"m really not sure yet if I want to play it or not,Every now and then I like to get into a game that is relatively simple, that really doesn't require a commitment for ultimate satisfaction this usually means a multi-player game for me.So when COD 4 was coming out I thought to myself,"I could go for a good multi-player shooter to enjoy with my mates."

Well what was intentionally a purchase for no other reason than multi-player expecting the campaign to be nothing spectacular, but some good practice for MP.Well I got slapped in the face pretty damn hard because I loved the shit out of it.I never felt like it was to short it offered consistently awesome thrills through the length of the whole campaign and bowed out exactly when it needed to,it was exactly what i needed and made me look forward to the multi-player mode even more than before, which was well polished and entertained me for hours and the unexpected campaign just added so much more value to my purchase.

I only played a little bit of WaW just couldn't get into so I don't really have an opinion on it,and then MW2 is announced. So I decided to hold out indulging myself in a multi-player game feeling MW2 could deliver as good if not better than any other MP shooter I would've thought of buying also the same people who made the COD4 campaign are making this one so hey, this one should be pretty good, right. Not really,it's not that bad but definitely wasn't as good as COD4 in MW2 I felt like all the the set pieces that where suppose to blow me away where forced on me and most of them didn't seem relative to anything that was happening and yes they where a bit over the top for my taste.Yet again though I found the multi-player to be very entertaining amongst me and my friends, but those bastards didn't get into spec ops until I was done playing and from what everybody says they were very enjoyable, but overall I was satisfied.

Sadly it comes down to this,if I have that craving or if my buddies seem to be getting into it I'll probably pony up the cash for it,but really I'm not interested at all.I guess that means its safe to say I have no expectations for Black Ops so maybe just maybe It's capable of pulling a COD4 again and be pleasantly surprising...It probably won't.

The story is probably going to be 6 hours of bullshit storytelling (albeit with some interesting set pieces).
Based on the multiplayer trailer, the multiplayer is basically a new Modern Warfare 2 map pack. With an RC car.
Fuck no I am buying this game.
This is exactly what I mean. I predict... The Russians attack the US and no one else minds. And then it's up to Sergeant Gunload and his good ol' American determination to drive them back.

Plus that FUCKING car. The predator was retarded enough, now there's just no escape from a gory death.

I'm kind of tired of all new games in general. They have all been done before (read: Black Ops=Every other CoD, Reach=SW Battlefront1&2).
