umm...all I know was that CoD4 and MW2 had really fun campaign experiences...good enough for me

but for full-price purchases? ehhh no thanks. Black Ops seems to be going for that same cinematic awesome action movie moments feel so I think it'll warrant a rental (I'm not a fan of the CoD/MoH/BCBF multiplayer)

FUCK TREYARCH!

Besides that, no, I don't want the game. I loved CoD/2/4/MW2.

I despised WaW. I think it was the last WW2 shooter I've seen (THANK GOD), and I hope the modern combat trend will end soon as well.

Can I PLEASE get my WW1 game, guys?
How could you hate World at War? It was the same thing as Call of Duty 4... BUT BETTER! Except the MP40, that gun can go to hell...

OT: Since this one is being made by Treyarch, I might buy it. Never again will I buy an Infinity Ward game.

I'll be getting it on the first day.

I loved both the MW2 and WAW campaigns so can't wait to play another one, COD is always a blast.

As for the multi, let's just hope it's more balanced this time around.

COD 2 was just fucking AWESOME.

And then the whole COD series just went down the big drain of sucky games that suck. Pity really.

Dont buy black ops.
Call of Duty: United Offensive was just fucking AWESOME.

And i agree with the rest of your statement.

The story is probably going to be 6 hours of bullshit storytelling (albeit with some interesting set pieces).
Based on the multiplayer trailer, the multiplayer is basically a new Modern Warfare 2 map pack. With an RC car.
Fuck no I am buying this game.
This is exactly what I mean. I predict... The Russians attack the US and no one else minds. And then it's up to Sergeant Gunload and his good ol' American determination to drive them back.

Plus that FUCKING car. The predator was retarded enough, now there's just no escape from a gory death.
Russians invading America was MW2, I'm pretty sure its not going to have Russians, some of the settings listed for the game are Cuba, Vietnam, and the Arctic.

But yes the MP looks just like MW2s with weirder weapons and RC cars, but at least you could shoot an RC before it blew your legs off.

I sorta liked COD 4.
I feel ashamed to admit that I really enjoyed MW2, sure it has so many flaws, but the multiplayer is inevitably somewhat addictive.
Black ops looks exactly the same as MW2 though, so I'll probably pass on it.

I tried MW2 multiplayer, I tried the MW1 multiplayer....it has potential to be nice. But I did not like the mapping. I found it to be....hmm....
Few chokepoints connecting areas + many explosions and grenades + call ins...
Mhm. They did not fix that in MW2, so I do not plan on getting black ops.

Maybe. I'll see what my friends have to say about it.

But I saw an SR-71 Blackbird in that trailer. If I can fly that, then it will totally be worth it.

On a side note: fuck realism. Gaming is about ESCAPISM.
Thank you!! Too many people don't seem to grasp that concept

What in the

Why would you want to experience trench warfare? That would be the most boring FPS in existence.

Formula:

Sit in trench. Fire once every few hours. Lob a few grenades. Wait days for artillery to arrive. Get the order to charge. Have order belayed, but the message isn't recieved before the suicide charge is made. Thousands die.

See: Gallipole (spelling?)
Gallipoli.

Don't forget all of the lovely diseases and gasses used!

OT: Depending on how many friends get it and how well reviews do will decide if I get the game or not.

Ummm? dont get it then.

OT: I might be getting it a bit after it comes out. Purley because my friend likes COD and I know how boring those games are when you have no one to play with.

P.S. I liked MW2 purly because every one I played against sucked. But like all the others before it, it loses its fun and re-playablity about a month after having bought it. I feel Black ops will be the same.

I'll definitely get CoD:black ops, but I'd rather buy Halo:Reach, Homefront, MoH, Kane & Lynch: Dog Days before I do

Then don't buy, I for one cannot wait for it to come out. I am so eager for Black Ops! Can't wait, I will be buying it straight away. But I guess anyone in a clan is keen for it, as it is the next major clan game to come out.

COD1 was the first 'real' game I bought for my personal computer. And it was totally awesome, the best WW2 shooter I had ever seen at the time. Great SP campaign and MP.
COD - UO, which was even better, with all the vehicles and other additions. Again, great campaign and MP, which I enjoyed for a very long time. (until COD4)
COD2, I played a part of the SP campaign at a friends house, and looked amazing again. I haven't had the opportunity to buy it myself. I can't judge the MP.
COD3, console exclusive. I've gathered it's rubbish.
COD4, change of the series towards Modern Warfare. Epic SP, loaded with drama. A true fresh start for the series. Superb MP, with addition of the perks. I'm still playing it to this day. It deserves all its 'game of the year' awards.
COD WAW, I borrowed it from a friend, and was quite sceptic because Treyarch had developed it. And still, the SP campaign was again epic. And the high amount of gore was also a nice touch. I enjoyed every bit of it. The MP on the other hand was utter crap. I hated it to the bone.
COD MW2, again a breathtaking SP campaign, some say a rather short one. Also liked it alot. MP, no fun at all. It's there for when you're bored and don't care if you're utterly massacred.

Now, COD: Black Ops. I've been waiting since UO (2004) for Infinity Ward to develop a game set in the Vietnam War. (At the time I was playing the game 'Vietcong', so.. yeah)
If I buy it, I think it will be for the SP campaign. Also, I'm crossing my fingers in he hopes that the main focus will be on the look and feel of jungle warfare, and not of 'Rambo-like' one-man-army over-the-top epicness. But chances are small, I guess, since this looks like a trademark of COD nowadays. Also, I do not care (yet) for the other missions, we'll see.

That's what I have to say about the matter ^^
