I salute my fallen enemy if they are the flawed hero type, you know, fighting for a lost cause and whatnot. If it is a stupidly evil villain or just some thugs who get in the way, I don't think twice about their deaths. I do feel sorry about killing creatures who aren't evil but are sent to kill me by evil people.
After playing Deus Ex and SWAT 4 I feel bad about killing anything in a game, even the most evil terrorist or serial killer, and even if he's shooting me right in the face. I just think, surely I should've been able to take him down without lethal force. And then I tend to reload and try again to do it cleanly.
The only female khajit i know of (im not even sure if she is a khajit) owns this bar in a small village and has an obsession with cheese. It was that mission where you had to cause chaos in the town
She was a Khajit, and the town was called border watch. That quest is pretty amusing as at the start it cares about the shivering isles expansion and will check your progress in it and it changes how Sheogorath talks to you at the start.
OT: I haven't really felt bad about killing someone in a game, but I did feel bad when Big head, An argonian from the shvering isles who was obsessed with forks was killed by a bunch of NPCs for some reason completely unrelated to what I was doing.

I havent played SI only the Vanilla Oblivion but that argonian sounds so friggin funny. Thanks for clearing that up too. Its been so long since I played. I kinda thought she was a khajit because I remember the harsh voice they tend to have. Plus I always pretend im talking to that tiger from the frosties box when I talk to them. Dont know why though
Most animals, especially ones I think are somewhat cute. Even ferocious ones tend to make me sad when they die. I just don't like the death sounds they tend to make.
It's weird. I love stealth, and taking out enemies without them or their friends realising.
But then I feel guilty that they didn't have a chance to defend themselves, or that they were just doing their job, and that they didn't agree with what their boss was doing, and only worked for him so that his seven children can eat for a week...
Then I kill the guys boss, and every things fine.
Thats why I prefer to knock out guards unless they say or do something particularly immoral in my opinion. Then I'll go out of my way to kill them.
wanted to mention the Heretic from Halo 2 in particular, having to silence him was painful (though made a little less so by how aggravatingly hard he could be on Legendary).
OT: i feel especially bad for an opposing team in Bad Company that ends up majorly spawn-camped by my overly aggressive teammates, i hate when it happens to me so i just sit back at the base we're supposed to be defending, or else leave.
I always hated killing them dogs in Fallout 3, even as they were ripping my neck out. I'd kill half the people in megaton for the lulz, but I hate killing dogs. Rabid dogs. Odd that.
Funny I would use them as target practice whenever I got a new weapon. Especially rifles. I'd specifically wander the wasteland looking for some dog to shoot. Why?, They are weak and fast.
Jack LAND THIS DAMN BOX AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry, I had too. Wait, is that jack or the doctor? CONFUSION
On topic, I found the one the hardest to kill was that vampire guy in the Sanctuary, Oblivion. Yeah, I tried to turn one of the new recruit guys into a vamp or someshit, just so someone could sleep on the rock bed again.
But I did not miss Gorm'Gol (or whatever), that guy was a jerk.
