It's curious. I think this is less a lesson about double standards, as it is about the differences in how people actually view sex and rape.

To those who consider the female rape of the burglar funny, it comes to mind that perhaps you don't actually consider rape of ANYONE "horrific" or "evil" at all, but only say so to as not to be ostracized by your peers.
