I think they should stop the lego game franchise, what about you?

Well really they have released three (conditionally 4) Lego Games Star Wars (with an extension which was compiled into a single game later), Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Batman.

Plenty of series have had more installments/spinoffs than that.

Overall I think the idea is a bit cutesy, and it lost it's charm after a while, but was fun in a mindless way.

They definatly do need to work on the fundementals if they want the series to survive, and especially if they plan to get any older gamers to maintain interest.

Truthfully while I admit I was curious about Lego Batman, I haven't played any of them except Star Wars (which I traded in). I pretty much gave up on the series when they decided that they were going to remove the Swatstikas and overt signs of Nazism from the Indiana Jones franchise (or so I heard) because of the "negativity" and how "Nazis simply are not fun". Something that made me go W T F. Yes the Nazis were bad guys, that was like the entire point of the series.

It's a popular franchise but the only one I didn't like was the Indy one.
And Lego Rock Band ? sounds like a fail to me.
If they come up with a good idea for a lego conversion then it will be better :D

It seems to me that they've only made Lego games for established franchises they've also already got models for - In other words, they've been making Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman Lego models for a while now, which are an obvious aside from their "normal" business products that they come up with pretty much on their own. You'll notice they haven't done a Legos Pirates game because there's no defined story there... just pirates.

If they keep to this formula, there shouldn't be any Lego Halos (thank God), Half-Lifes, etc., BUT leave us not forget one other established franchise that HAS gotten Lego model treatment (fanboys/girls prepare to start crying...):

Harry Potter

Just let that sink in for a moment. I figure the only reason they haven't already made the game is that they're waiting for the final movie to be made.

Yes a series based on silly fun that actually is fun to play must be burned at the stake. How dare they make a game that is not different shades of brown and involves shooting people in the face.

Although I don't understand Lego RB. That is just wasted potential.

I'm ok with the lego games. They are actually quite fun.
This is also my stance on the matter. In fact, I might just buy one, maybe even two.

To eBay!

haha lego portal WOULD be fun
How would they do GLaDOS though? Legos are square bricks so how could you make a spherical and rounded figure? Maybe if they use Bionicle pieces. I haven't played with Lego in a long time, do they have round pieces now? God I feel old...
they probably do lol they probably have parts that flash now...now i feel old

Lego Rockband just sounds stupid, in what way will it being lego affect or benefit the game? Won't it just be identical to vanilla Rockband but with lego character models?
And overall, yes I think they should put the series to rest, Lego Starwars was fresh and charming, now the idea has gone stale and it shows.
I wonder this myself. What is the difference watching a grungy guitarist and a Lego grungy guitarist flail about on stage?

The Lego Starwars games were cute, kinda funny and rather addictive at first. I used them as a tool for "quality time" with my then girlfriend in a vein stepping stone attempt to introduce her to real games. Needless to say, it didn't work well. She couldn't transition to X-Men Legends so I threw in the towel.

I'd like the Lego games to carry on, personally.
I probably wouldn't buy each and every game that's released but it'd be nice to pick up a mockery of whatever Lego can get their hands on if the idea seems entertaining.

I enjoyed Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones quite a lot, but the novelty factor is withering very fast now.

Those games are pretty fun, but don't really have the depth I need from games. I think they're good games for kids and they did a good job making them fun enough for adults to play with kids. It wouldn't bother me at all if they kept making them.
