I was so tempted to buy and wear this shirt one day, just to see how they would react
Trouble is though, most of them probably wouldn't know who the f Buffy is.
Still, for those that do, it would be funny to see their reactions.

"Prepare flameshields"
I also quite like the twilight films :)
Never really had much experience with the 'twi-hards' though.
Although I was having a discussion about them with a friend of mine I was basically saying how I don't get all the tee shirts and stuff, they then pointed out to me I was wearing a 'Rocky' shirt which made my whole argument invalid =/ lol.

Better question is why are there women out of the kitchen

hurr hurr

Obvious dumb sexist jokes aside

Some of these cult followings are insane, the weird thing is Robert Pattinson is really ugly as Edward. At least with some of these girl followings before the guys were good looking but Edward really isn't, he just looks creepy

Seriously though, the chances of them even having the slighest clue who a great person like Wilde is, or even having read a tidbit of his work... it wouldn't be worth opening your mouth to say.
OK, then turn on your best Cullen impression and say "You wouldn't understand" and flounce off. You'll have to beat them off with a stick.

You probably deserved it for looking like him. Shame on you.

Scrawny, pale people (read: gamers) are about to become the new sex symbol.
...Ambiva-lating, ain't it? (EDIT: On the plus-side, no more people bitching about the tanning salon tax!!)

Nonetheless (as to the rest of you), I've heard my fair share: "Omigaw, Twilight suxors. I've read all the books multiple times to hone my hate skills. I never mention vampires without saying 'but they don't sparkle' because it's clever. Y'know, like saying you saw a Demi Moore movie, 'but not the one where she strips'."

I've had you ladies talking my ear off about Twilight much more than any actual fan has done.

I thank the gods that so far every girl I've ever met that liked Twilight was fairly reasonable, nothing so excessive. At most they try to defend it with a lot of "boo-fucking-hoo it's romantic and beatuiful", but really, no, it is not, it is crap.

Also I refuse to acknowledge the characters from Twilight as vampires (vegetarian vampires who glow in the sun? WTF?!) and werewolves (who are ENTIRELY shaved, not one single hair on their bodies, in a werewolf that is almost as wrong as it is gay).

GARY OLDMAN IS THE GREATEST VAMPIRE IN CINEMA!!!!!!!!!!! (I have never watched Bela Lugosi as Dracula, so I give the prize to Gary Oldman) HAIL BRAM STOCKER AND COPPOLA!!!!!

Totally just insulted Count Duckula there, and that is something for which I will not stand.

People I know, including girls, either don't like them or don't talk about them. I think some girls were talking about seeing a new movie on release, but that's about as hardcore as they seem to be.

DND for chicks.

Get over it.

Except, in this case, it's stupid, annoying chicks. I read the first chapter of Twilight--decided it was rubbish, put it down and never opened it again.

It's the same peer-pressure inspired literature that plagues schools. Like Harry Potter.

Haven't experienced it myself, but I've followed the 'Mark Reads Twilight' blog and many of its viewers have their own bizarre and sometimes sad stories to tell about Twilight addiction*. Yes mr rubino, there's enough anti-Twilight sentiment on this board already, but I promise it deserves the scorn.

For anyone at all who needs to know precisely why this series is screwed up and never to be emulated beyond the obvious signs, I recommend you check MRT out- it's pretty funny too. All the accounts are hearsay of course, but there's enough accounts there for it not to be lies most likely.

*- Number one on my mind is a tale of a girl's friend who got into a relationship with an abusive boy merely because he got into the habit of quoting Edward Cullen to get chicks to like him.

PS: Thankfully the only fictional character I've been compared to is Horatio Caine, which is why I had him as an avatar for a while.
