Has anyone just ported his videos and asked for permission promoting it on youtube(not in that order)?
It would give the person channel views and promote them...
(METAPHOR INBOUND: PREPARE FOR DETACHED THOUGHTS!)
If everything was that easy, the creators wouldn't need their own channel. Unfortunately, people on the internet are naturally arrogant and feel like raising their e-peen a little by claiming they made such masterpieces as "MY FFEELINGS" (sic). Posting previews of the video (i.e., X-Play putting a chunk of ZP on their show) works. Wholesale copy and paste will not.
If The Escapist wanted to be on YouTube, it would make a channel on YouTube and post their videos or trailers for such videos. If they offered everything on YouTube, they wouldn't need their own video galleries. There's a specific reason why Yahtzee doesn't post ZP on YouTube (hint: message in a bottle in a sea of messages in bottles). Relying on a nobody-by-comparison will do nothing for The Escapist, because the only use they'll find for YouTube is to find original content ideas they like and taking them OUT OF YOUTUBE for cash.
Of course, my smarter-than-thou attitude won't get far in this discussion so I'm going to stop here.
