I don't know I think it will happen as I have zero faith in everything and everyone. I pretty much also call the academy awards a popularity contest for the most part so the flavour of the generation will be picking up lots of hardware before they just sink into obscurity (Can't wait for that to happen).Onyx Oblivion said:

I personally am not mad she won the award, I am mad that she won the award for the film. She is a good actor, but the movie is totally undeserving.

I didn't like District 9 much...it plodded along slowly, and turned into "Military=Bad!", just like Avatar, after showing such serious political implications of aliens arriving.Doc Cannon said:

She sucks though. Nothing she's ever done has been good including the part she won for.

Well not this time, she was awesome in precious. seriously awesome. If the award had been undeserved then yeah, you may be able to trot out this bullshit argument, but it wasn't. She won on her merits, not her race.Hopeless Bastard said:
