In fairness I've never seen a JRPG where you can seduce an elf with magic tattoos then cheat on him with a hot pirate girl. Although I'm sure one exists somewhere in hentai form.

Romance options are in JRPGs too. I'm a Bioware fan, but this just seems like pointless hate.

To be fair, I haven't played too many JRPGs with gay options.

Off the top of my head: P3P [small](female protagonist + Aigis and possibly also Elizabeth)[/small], Innocent Sin [small](never localized, but there was a male option)[/small] and GrimGrimoire [small](not an RPG, but you can't hide their love)[/small]. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of games here, but there's plenty of untapped potential in the subgenre.

Granted, in WRPGs they just swap the character model and don't reference it in-game. Better than not having the option, but still not much of a breakthrough.

I love JRPGs... they are the cool thing to bash on right now but they will be back. Once the Japanese figure out how to market to America again. They had us in the 80s and 90s because Anime was huge among the kids but now all kids want is to play Call of Duty all day.

I liked gaming better when the meat-heads didn't play video games and get their testosterone on everything. I blame XBOX.

OT: It would probably be better than it currently is. People are knocking the game cause it would have big boobs and giant swords in it... where is the problem exactly?

-The costumes would be super-outrageous and unchangeable
-There would be one extremely annoying pre-pubescent character that doesn't get killed off at any point.
-Some of the dialogue might not make much sense because of the translation.
-The dog would be a cute crossbreed of 2 different animals and would have super powers and also talk or at least be understood by the main character.
-The main character would be angst-ridden and complain about life 1/2 of the game never to realize how much of a badass they really are.

So it would be Dragon Age 2? I kid, I kid.
