I'm already in New Reno (and it looks far more appealing in Fallout 2 than real life!), so it wouldn't be much of a stretch for me to become a hatchet man for one of the Reno families.

I'd either be a Loner or a Merchant. Cuz I know how to horde stuff and so does my friends. Though we'd probably set up our own "Megaton" if you will rather than travel. But if we started a trade route, not only would it be successful it'd downright be a monopoly.

i would be a loner type traveler, just enough stuff for me and to keep me safe, but i would assist the regulators, to....well regulate the massive boom in crime there would most definatley be....but to keep myself safe i would not directley affiliate myself with them

My point is none of the geeks/nerds in the Escapist forums could ever be a slaver.

Pillage, rape, murder, slavery. Slavers/Raiders would be the ex-cons/felons escapees from the abandoned maximum security prisons. Etc.

I would be a merchant in Rivet City. It's safe there. I would occasionally go out on trading expeditions though.

I'd probably be an explorer, traveling to ruins of buildings and settlements and taking what I can from then. Find a nice underground area and set it up as my own horde. Try to find stuff like DVDs, Video games, stuff of old that wouldn't work but would be my personal collection. I'd trade stuff for caps and ammo though, because there's only so many places left untouched and uninhabited by others

If I could find an empty Vault btw, that'd be where I kept my stuff

Would probably mostly do repair-type work. Probably settle down rather than scavenge myself - let someone else brave the mutants for a few bits of scrap. I'll buy it from the ones that make it back, fix it up, and sell it to all the would-be badasses gunning for one another.
