If our faith in humanity is lost, why don't we just blow our brains out right now?

There are so many people here who talk like that, they should establish "The Curch of No Faith In Humanity". It certainly has become a proper religion on this site.

I have more that enough faith in humanity. The bad deeds just always stick out while the good deeds are taken for granted.

Indeed, the people who can't stomach their lack of faith for humanity and roll with it are what lowers my faith in humanity.

Eh, I still have faith in humanity. The amount of good people out there far outweigh the bad; I don't bother myself with such needless pessimism - life is short, and I find that it is far more enjoyable if one maintains an optimistic outlook.

Showing hope when everybody else has lost it is the greatest power of all. Everyone who commits suicide is a coward towards the diversity that life challenges us with.

Humanity is not shit. I simply cannot believe it. There is noone that can change my mind about that.

Besides, if you give up, you enter the losers side. I never liked it.

Because this is the only life we've got, and even if the world is going downhill, it's better to make the most of it.
This is so true, if I may add, live everyday like its your last. Apart from that, brilliant post good sir.

Because most people who ***** about "losing faith in humanity" are whiny kids who haven't grown up yet and are just trying to appear edgy and nihilistic . Hence they have no real conviction to their belief and so would not blow out their brains because of it.
Basically this. Because nobody's actually lost all faith in humanity; it's just a mantra. Also: because suicide is surrender, and giving up guarantees that you'll never be able to help anyone.

Because the people who say "I've lost my faith in humanity" are exaggerating and hoping to get attention.

Just because we have lost faith in humanity, doesn't mean we have lost faith in ourselves. Or the hope that our faith in humanity can one day be restored.

The Church of No Faith In Humanity? Great idea! We should get to it right away!

Seriously though, i agree with second part. Everyone who says he's "lost his faith in humanity" is most likely a whiny emo. I mean, we've certainly made a lot of progress since Middle Ages!

That's like saying, "Well, you dislike sex, so cut your penis off."
But, my friend, in truth, violent removal of a persons penis hurts.

Because most of the time someone says "I lost my faith in humanity" its just an exaggeration.
Atleast I hope it is, otherwise I don't know either because I seriously thought you all were joking.

Generally my Faith in Humanity is non-existent (I never had any to begin with), People suck and that's all their is to it, they bicker, murder, harrass, and just plain piss me off.

I have this 40-page 'screenplay' for a story-based game in my head mostly centered around two concepts: People can change, and miracles do happen.
First one is a little twist on the whole betrayal aspect, and the idea that there are men in the world so evil that they have to be removed.
And the second one I'm obviously saving for that endgame climax.

If I start losing my faith in humanity, I just listen to some good music or find something marvelous, or watch some PBS or CBC etc.

Humanity may be an utter pile of purple shite, but I still enjoy living and would not want to blow my brains out dear mister OP. I have things to live for. Humanity as a whole has gone very far down but it could still come up. We only have one life (If we do have an after life I'm not getting the nice one, that's for sure) and we should use it well.
