Because we like to live? Faith in humanity and the will to live are two completely different things.

Humanity is very destructive, so not having faith in it is understandable. But wanting to keep alive is an instinct. Therefore, even though someone lacks faith in humanity, they will want to stay alive.

It's like most people have said here, we may not have faith in humanity, but it doesn't mean we should just give up like that. Besides, that's the faith I don't have in humanity. The fact that people have no respect for life and would rather kill themselves or others. I rather enjoy my life. Knowing humanity fails at it a lot of the time doesn't really compel me to die. It rather compels me to want the people that make me lose faith in humanity to die instead.

I'm hoping that my faith will be restored at some point, but with the general whiny childish attitude by the worlds governments regarding global warming and other important issues. I'm not holding my breath.
