Another installment of "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidō Kuzunoha" sub-series. Both of its titles are independent stories with the same main character, so they won't hurt as much. I'd like to see Raidō on the PS3 again. Preferably in the next title along with remastered versions of the previous two.

...Which one it would be? And why?

For me I would a new soul reaver. Hell, no kain please I'm asking to the re-coming of Raziel. To the because... I dunno, I simply loved the LoK saga more then GoW, as I find Raziel why cooler than many "heroes", I like is hating soul to survive, and is lack of morality talk when it come to split a human being in half. Or the lack of splitting a human being in half while crying for is dead wife and lil daughter...
Firstly, I just want to say that you're a fool. First off, there wouldn't BE any Soul Reaver games if it wasn't for Kain... he's kind of integral to the storyline. Secondly, have you actually played (or watched) LoK - Defiance? I won't say too much just in case you haven't, but there's no way they could make another game revolving around Raziel.
I don't think they could even do a reboot of the series it was that good.
*Hide is coppie of defiance* No, never. I've heard that Raziel sacrified himself befoure the god to help Kain, but i dunno believe it. Thei'ar liing T.T

Anyway, OT:
If we're talking a sequel to a previously loved game that never got a sequel, definitely gotta go for Skies of Arcadia.
If you mean taking a terrible sequel, destroying it and making an awesome sequel in its place, Breath of Fire V. Seriously, it destroyed the series because it was so utterly terrible and far-fetched from the previous 4 games.
Never played Skies of Arcadia, but for BoF V I've something to say: the sooner you lose your hope for the japanese game industry, the better. I forgive only Nintendo, because they make child game... [my philosophical thinking, ndr.]

Freelancer.
One of my favorite games of all time ever. The story line (up until the final few missions anyway) was amazing. That part when your fleeing manhatten with a battleship covering each gate out of the system? with that really intense music playing - it was incredible, I dont think i've played a game thats made me think "we're fucked" in quite the same way.
I still play it occasionally, with mods such as crossfire only expanding on the already fairly massive universe.
It hasn't got the complicated economic system of, say, the X series (a fine, fine series of games - but expect to have to invest lots of time in them) but the combat, the reputation system, constantly upgrading your ship, taking on missions. It was all great. The controls were excellent too, its the only space shooter I can think of where a mouse and keyboard are FAR better than using a joystick.

Yeah, I love Freelancer :p

Actually, I've just thought of another one: Freespace 2. I'm not going to mention what was so good about that one, if you havn't played it yet - your doing yourself a disservice. Its on GOG and impulse. Go get it.

I'd love to see a Dungeon Keeper 3. It's a shame Bullfrog doesn't exist anymore...as far as I know.
THIS. 1000 TIME THIS. Seriously though, I can't even count how many times I've beaten DK2's campaign and the fact that it had the trailer for DK3 on the disc is just such a tease! :(

OT: Black and White, Age of Mythology and Halo Wars.

Black and White: Because who doesn't enjoy throwing huge boulders at an enemy base?

Age of Mythology: It's AoE but with Minotaurs and The Titans was a freaking awesome expansion.

Halo Wars: As said earlier ITT, it was RTS on console done right and a second would be immense.

Far Cry 2 and Jak and Daxter just changed from past to future in a manner of WTF (but they were fun, though.)

Personally I liked Portal 2, L4D2, and I aint even a valve fanboy. I dislike TF2 and all its hat glory.

Call of Duty!

I jest, I jest.

I'd have to say either a new Star Wars Battlefront game, on the PS3 sticking to the same formula as 1 but with updates graphics and engine....

or on par with that,

A PS3 JAK AND DAXTER GAME DEVELOPED BY NAUGHTY DOG - that would make my year.

I have no idea what you said at the end there... or half of what you're trying to say for bad spelling, but that's fine.
Yes, Raziel realises his is the soul that lives within the Soul Reaver sword due to the paradox that Kain created at the end of Soul Reaver 2. By allowing Kain to impale him with the Reaver, the paradox was fixed and the essence of Raziel (within the completed sword) allowed Kain to finally see, and fight, the God

Actually, I enjoy JRPGs a lot. I've lot a lot of faith in SquareEnix and Nintendo over the last decade or so because of the lackluster games they've produced in recent years.
I was extremely disappointed in BoF V.

Actually, they have 2 brilliant sequels for LoK: Soul Reaver (Blood Omen 2, great as it was, was still slightly lacking compared to SR2 and Defiance) and there's a sequel finally coming out for Beyond Good and Evil.
Never played Psychonauts but heard it's brilliant and a sequel would most likely be welcomed as long as they do it correctly.

I doubt Psychonauts really need a sequel. Brilliance of this game lies in that it's a complete story. I think it needs no continuation or smth (while storyline is opened for TBC's, they are really NOT NEEDED). Same story with BioShock or Portal*, for example.

* Portal 2 is awesome, yes, but Portal 1 seemed a complete story without any need to be continued.

Well, I misspelled what I was writing in an attempt to sound childish... I was saying that, yeah, I played Defiance. No need to remember the final to me. That game simply broke my heart: for the whole game I liked more playing as Raziel than playing as Kain. Kain feel like a... don't know, he feel strangely annoying. At the last boss battle, I turned down the PS because I couldn't believe that my favorit hero just died. Finished the game only because I was wishing that he could just popout back, somehow. You know, he died many time in the LoK francise.

As for the jrpg... I can't stand them. Mind me! I just loved FFIV, FFV, FFVI, FFVII, but I just can't play any other jrpg, expecially the most recent. They seem to fail me somehow, sometime it is because a story that is full of bullshit, sometime because they request me to grind into an impossible quantity. Mind me, I like grinding. But grinding in a game that give me long lasting bonus, like achievement or material for my buddies, not grinding to go on whit the story. Not grinding to go on with the story! Or in exchange, a game with an exponential difficult bar, that go from one to infinite. Even calling this game j"rpg" feel wrong. They maybe as good as you want, but they are absolutely everything that is not rpg. No decision. No roleplay. Only dragon, goblin and castle, that aren't even element that make your game a RPG!

Mind me, I still like Nintendo game, like Zelda, but I have close my heart to any other japanese game long ago. Nintendo is kind of an exception to me. And Capcom megaman, but well, Megaman is not a jrpg.

PS: the spoiler tag is
, without the final s.

I don't know if you know this, but there is Megaman Legends 2 on the old PS1... I know for I still have my original copy :D

PS: Yes, I know, double post, but I didn't notice Grunt's post till after I posted my first one
Yes, I know. I have my original copies of both games. I was talking about Megaman Legends 3 being on the DS, (and that's only if people complied with Capcom's ultimatum).

Dragon Age 2.

Took an amazing first game, and asked the question, what if it was easier, and nothing happened.
It's the second game in a trilogy, it's point is to set up the link between the first game and the third one.
Look at The Empire Strikes Back, arguably the most popular Star Wars movie, nothing happens. Luke goes to train but doesn't get much into it, Han get captured, and the overall plot, between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, doesn't get advanced at all. It's just how the second in a trilogy usually works.
That is the worst argument, I have ever heard, in my entire life.

Mass Effect 2, second game, amazing, The Two Towers second book/movie, amazing, Halo 2, Modern Warfare 2.

These are all second parts to 3 part things. In which a ton of things happen. Just because Empire Strikes Back is also lazily written off as a joining movie doesn't give other things the excuse to suck and piddle around.

Capcom still owes us Viewtiful Joe 3 after the promises at the end of the first two games. No, the DS title doesn't count because it didn't continue the same story, and I don't care if Clover is gone; Capcom can find a way to finish the last third of the trilogy if they want to.
