If you could do away with 1 gaming genre, what would it be?

I would happily wave goodbye to FPS games, there is nothing you can do with a genre that is "go here shoot this" and there all Dark depressing chest high wall messes that get dull very quickly for me, guns are meh.

Racing games that don't involve weapons or items to use during the race ala Mario Kart or Twisted Metal. They are rather boring and lack the excitement of the former. One exception to this rule are the racing games with extreme crashing mechanics such as Burnout or Flatout.

Pure, metal-crunching goodness.

Gran Turismo, Forza, games like that. They are a bit too realistic for my taste.

I like turn based combat if it's done well and requires you to actually be intuitive and think the strategy through fully, not the mindless HOLD X FOR ATTACK AND WIPE FLOOR WITH EVERYTHING.

FPS's just because it'd be nice to see people try to use their imagination more then COD7012 and Halo4251
