If you could merge any two games what would they be?

Okami and Final Fantasy. By this, I mean a Final Fantasy game, with Yoshitaka Amano at the helm (character designer for 1-6), where the game uses his art in a way like Okami. That kind of surrealistic art of Amano reproduced in 3D. Ohhh.

Metroid and ANYTHING. This has been proven with Castlevania (amazingly so), and to a lesser degree, Mega Man, with the excellent ZX titles.

SimCity and a medieval platformer, just because I want them to make an ActRaiser 3.

Back on Final Fantasy:

Final Fantasy VI's spectacular characterization +
Final Fantasy VII's amazing settings +
Final Fantasy IV amazing gameplay with unique twists to the RPG formula (Milon's back attacking, the Magnetic dungeon, clever things like that)
+ Yoshitaka Amano + Nobuo Uematsu + Masata Kato (penned the script to Chrono Trigger, helped with Final Fantasy VII, Chrono Cross, and Xenogears)+
Chrono Trigger's combination moves and on-the-field battle system +
NOT having annoying sidequests nobody likes you have to spend eight hours on to finish (thinking Chocobo Breeding and Blitzball) +
A level design department not composed of a length of string =

All the greatness of Square with none of the post-merger suckiness.

There are a lot of shooters that have had these awesome new ideas, but utterly failed at the basic shooting mechanics.

I might combine Saints Row 2 with Call of Duty.

Mass Effect 2 and Assassin's Creed 2. Epic adventures of Thane Krios prior to the story of ME2? Hell yeah.

Monster Hunter and Shadow of the Colossus.
The creatures in Monster Hunter are already quite large (Especially considering Lao Shun, Gaoren, and the new guy in Tri who's name just completely blanked out for me) expanding them to be the sort of massiveness of the Colossi, the Blademaster Hunters crawling about ontop of them and attacking specific weak points. Gunners or others running around baiting them into set up traps or set places for greater access or to cause them to expose other weak points.

Great, now that I thought about it, playing Tri later just won't be as satisfying now.
Sir, you have blown my mind!

I was gonna say GTA Vice City mixed with GTA San Andreas (the awesome gameplay of San Andreas and the setting, time and music styling of Vice City) In other words what I was hoping GTA 4 would be but completly dissapointed me instead.

Also, just an Online version of Pokemon would be nice, I know they have made Online Pokemon but they are not official ones and are just shit.

Pokemon crossed with Oblivion/Fallout 3. Very similar to Pokémon, but with the graphics of Fallout 3. Walk around challenging people to battles, using a VATS like system to use attacks. When Legendary Pokémon battle, the special effects would be visible for miles.
