If you could merge any two games what would they be?

I don't know if I'd call it merging but Id love to see a Spider-Man game done the same way the Batman AA game was.

Probably Braid with Prince of Persia...
Wait, that's been done...

So maybe Dead Rising (weapon variety and all-around hordes of zombies) with inFamous/Prototype (massive sandbox maps and powers)
What do you mean, "that's been done"? What and by whom?
In the Braid/PoP thingy, the Prince of Persia developers in Sands of Time (at least, I think it was that one) did it, by including the 'screw-around-time' bit by rewinding a LOT, and the parkour was already there.

A first person fighting game.

I wonder how that would work.

Also, a free-roaming Mirror's Edge.

Let me see...

1st, Pokemon mixed with Super Smash Bros. Which would basically be Smash Brothers, except the fighters are only pokemon and items are replaced with berries and potions, etc. You could easily map most move sets to the Up, Down, Side, and Standard B button attacks and have A button be weaker clawing and swatting.

2nd, any sandbox title (GTAIV, PROTOTYPE, JUST CAUSE2, ASSASSIN'S CREED 2, ETC) mixed with Burnout Paradise.

3rd, Any game with a reaction based fighting system (Batman, Assassin's Creed, etc) mixed with any arcade fighting game. Like a game of hot potato.

Mirrors Edge and GTA IV, it would be a modern, first person Assassins Creed, what fun.

Dead Rising as the headliner game (same controls etc.) with the saints row city as the setting. EPIC. Just add 10x more clothing and weapon stores.

Metroid and Mass Effect.
I'd love to roam around a massive galaxy, looking for bounties.
Funnily enough, Jennifer Hale actually provides the voice for both Samus and female Sheppard...

Ace Combat and Call of Duty. I would poop on everyone. Oh, you had a UAV, Counter UAV, 2 harriers, 4 pavelows, and 18 precision air strike craft, 90 tanks, and 1490123849 ground troops. Now look at this beauty... eh? She shoots 18 missiles at once and fires lasers out of her nose!

Oblivion and Morrowind.

It'd be perfect.
Excpet that Morrowind was awesome and Oblivion was not so you'd just get a worse version of Morrowind... Well at least thats how I feel, however if you liked both games then I can see how that combo would be quite spectacular for you.
Both games are a mixed bagged.

Oblivion:

Best combat and stealth
Best sidequests
Best technology
Best dungeons
Worst character development
Worst atmosphere
Worst main quest
Worst story

Morrowind:

Best atmosphere
Best main quest
Best character developtment
Best story
Worst combat and stealth
Worst side quests
Worst technology
Worst dungeons
Yes, but if you could put together specifics from each game then you'd have -

Best atmosphere
Best main quest
Best character developtment
Best story
Best combat and stealth
Best sidequests
Best technology
Best dungeons -

which would probably be one of the greatest games of all time.

That said, I merge GTA IV with SR 2.

Zelda and Metroid. Wait... that would destroy the space time continuum with the sheer density of win. Ah, I'd do it anyways. A few minutes of awesome before being crushed in the awesome black hole would be worth it.

Also Spider-Man 2 and assassin's creed. I think it could work.

Big rigs and Superman (64). Yup.
I do believe that this is the anti-thesis of gaming.

Pokemon and Deadrising. I don't know how you'd do it, but it would end in so much goddamn profit it isn't even funny.

Zelda and Halo.

Imagine the fun.
Running around the galaxy, finishing of dungeons.
Saving Cortana.

Awesome.
Wouldn't it be more:
Metroid & Halo?
Let me explain why that wouldn't work. Or rather, let the brilliance that is Scott Rasoomair do it for me! http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=128

OT: Arcanum and KOTOR. A Star-wars style game with Arcanum's game mechanics? Yeeeeessss...

Jedi Academy and KotOR.

Lightsaber combat from JA in KotOR would be EPIC.
Oh hell yeah, I've always been a sucker for Jedi Academy gameplay, and KotOR's story is just so well done.

Fallout 3: Huge map, lots of area to run around in, lots of places to see, lots of thing to do.
Left 4 Dead: Zombies

Huge map, lots of area, lots of places to see, lots of things to do, lots of zombies to kill. Beautiful.
