I've always thought 'kid' was a nice name, easy to remember and such. It also works for either gender...

my son will be Flint, since my surname is stone, many lulz. not worried about teasing, by the time he goes to school most kids wil only know of the flintstones from vitamins. It's a good action hero-y sort of name.

My daughter will be Petra. I like the name anyways, but it's for Petra Arkanian from 'Ender's Game'.

Pagan Amber Lynn and she is gonna be 6 months old in a few days. Just because we are gamers doesn't mean we can't be parents as well.

Call my son Millions, its subtle enough to suggest he's responsible, but wait till his last name, Knives. It makes you think that he's pretty skilled with deadly acrobatics or something.

As for a girl I'll name her... I dunno cindy or something.

If I had a children, I would name a boy Douglas and a girl Molly. Boring yes, but it won't get ripped on for being named Ariel.

Ariel (Arry-el) for a boy.
I have no ideas for girls names...
Why you going to give your son a mermaids and washing powder name? He isn't born yet and he is already being mocked in school by bullies.

Hmm, this is going to have to be resolved by personality.

Uses toilet which resembles headless alien boss monster:
Boy -> Duke (of Nukem)
Girl -> Samus

Sneaks around and steals cookies in dead of night:
Boy -> Garrett (Thief)
Girl -> Leiliana(Dragon Age)

Beats the living hell out of annoying purple dinosaur:
Boy -> Guile
Girl -> Ivy (of Valentine)

Does the "here comes the plane to land" during dinner by themselves:
Boy -> Crenshaw (Hawx)
Girl -> Kei (Ace Combat 5)

Commands minions to do their bidding with nothing other than imperious look:
Boy -> Kane (This is eerily similar enough to my actual name that my kid will most likely end up being named this regardless)
Girl -> Tyrande (Warcraft 3)

Redesigns high chair to double as potty:
Boy -> Freeman
Girl -> Tali

Already kinda thought this over, sadly. and they're names I use for pretty much any single player rpg now.

Boy: Gabriel (Syphon Filter), Sareth (Dark Messiah), Royce, Deke (Fear Effect)

Girl: Heather, Lisa, Cheryl, Alessa, Eileen (Silent Hill series) Flece (Summoner)

Just names I like from games that have stuck with me. It doesn't necessarily mean all of these characters hold some special place in my heart though. Well, except Royce and maybe some of the SH crew.

I was almost named Dejah Thoris (I wish I was kidding. Look her up, she's the Princess of Mars.) so I would be nice to my kids and name them something like "Elizabeth(so she can pick her own nickname)" and Bruce. And no naming him after Batman doesn't count as bad like Dejah Thoris.
