What would it be? To clarify, say you were given the power to create as much of one thing as you wanted. While it would be possible for that thing to contain multiple pieces (such as a specific computer), saying something general such as food or a new computer wouldn't work. You could say A computer with X processor with Y number of cores and etc, or to be able to create as much chicken sandwiches with lettuce and tomato on rye bread though. You also couldn't just say a futuristic computer, but you could choose something that is living, even people. All of the items would be the same as well, so no differing with each creation.

Also, remember to think of a few things when you choose. 1) The depreciation of value as more of something become available. Say you chose gold so you could sell it. If you made too much, it would quickly go down in value. And if you tried to make money, it would quickly be found to be counterfeit as it has the same serial number and such things.
2)Living things would require food/water/space.
3)While you can make as much of the thing as you want, you cannot change what you make each time later.

So what would you all choose?

Energy would prolly be the way to go, indeed. 'T would make travelling with lightspeed possible.

Chocolate. Then everyone will be happy.

Except the health-concious, of course.
And the lactose intolerant...
And those allergic to chocolate...

Ah, stuff it, I'd be happy, anyway!

Energy. Nuff said.
So you want to be imprisoned by governments that will harness you until the day you die?
Just laser your way out of there. Energy be a vague term, you could melt the walls, lightning everything to shit, break them down, whatever.

No it wouldn't. You'd be going fast enough for it to make no difference, but you can't achieve lightspeed, at least in accordance with Einstein's theories.

Feel like I'm in a nitpicky mood tonight...
But how would you get the energy into a form? Remember, you can't alter it until after you've made it, and altering pure energy seems difficult.

Helium, because then we could all fly around in zeppelins without fear of explosion (replaced with the fear of squeaky voices).

if not that, then motion. then we could find a way to having unlimited energy through the wonder of perpetual motion.

Energy cannot exist without some medium: there's no such thing as just 'energy'. Heat, light, kinetic energy, all the various radiations sure, but not just 'energy'.
That's my point though, you can only choose one medium to create. Energy is too broad, like food.

Those little mini Ritz crackers with the cheese between them. Those things are awesome. Sure energy would be nice but ending world hunger is nice too.

£20 notes? o,O

I wouldn't even overuse it. I'd just make a £20 note every time my wallet was empty, and leave stuff life student loan and income to buy goodies from the internet.
