A WW3 game with theaters in the US, Africa, Russia, and the pacific islands. You play everything through first person eyes and it includes missions in war subs, planes, tanks, battleships, and on land. You command a soldier on the side of your choice. The countries at war are: the US and maybe Russia and England and France mixed or something.
Focus on Multiplayer (take that Yahtzee)
Campaign would be Soloable, but could also run as a co-op for up to 4 people
32 person online multiplayer, either free for all, teams or those other games like CTF
"free" character customization, I say "free" because when Yahtzee views this he will point out you can't play as Godzilla
Weapons range from swords to guns to claws, again what you have is customizable.
3rd person or 1st person view, can change during game.
different environments that represent past, present and futuristic
how you play would depend on how you make and equip your character
ranging from an alien with energy weopons and teleportation
to a guy with 4 pistols, 2 sub machin guns, a sniper, and an RPG
to a ninja wolf... that's right a ninja wolf, a wolf holding a katana in it jaws that uses ninpo
when I say character customization I mean some damn good character customization.. to the point where everyone's person.. or whatever it is, is different

An RTS set in an age of space travel, like Homeworld or Eve. Only in the style of the Total War games, where you have a huge, epic campaign across the cosmos, and the battles take place in real time with you directing your massive spaceships directly. Oh, and none of that "THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE IS MADE OF 3 FACTIONS" bull, there should be multiple huge space empires, with smaller, fleeting factions spread across the solar systems.
Or maybe a first person shooter taking place in the Soviet-Afghan war. Two different campaigns on both sides show the battle from both perspectives. Gameplay would be similar to Call of Duty, on a more reserved scale (i.e no massacring endless waves of charging enemies), but with the same sense of epicness and storytelling. The only problem with this is no one really knows about this war, so PR would be difficult.

I have a war game idea already...and it'd be a fake battle just set in a large field. It'd just be a stereotype war where each race or religion would act out every stereotype as an attack. It'd have an RTS campaign and an FPS campaign and you'd get to choose each race and pick their religion...I figure in this society of stuffy political correctness a game like this would be a breath of fresh air and releive some tension.
I would make a game where you play a the national guard trying to kill a giant robot Hitler who has heat beams and a gun thats shoots chainsaws
I would make a Historically accurate First World War game.Just so people could see what it was like.
