I'd simply want everyone to be happy. In the end result I guess that's all that matters. So in creating life I'd tell him to make sure it's happy whatever he creates.
The distinction here is notice how when given the option a lot of people immediatly want to be D@cks. Heck as Yahtzee has pointed out himself that is how it is simply with god simulators for most people.... and really if you've looked at "The Sims" sometimes what people can do with that gets REALLY disturbing.
So really I'd use my "request" to try and cut off the worst potential impulses of this god, as well as those of anyone else he might bring in after my turn.

I would make a religion based around fun. The more fun you have, the closer you are to heaven. If you are an asshole who sucks the world dry of fun and enjoyment, I'm gonna send you to hell, which is now pluto. Old hell is now reserved for barbecues and luaus.

I would create a world just like ours except all the people are a little bit smarter and about 2 months ahead of us on the cosmic timeline (I.E. things happened there 2 months before they happened here) Why? Because then they could solve their problems and we could just copy them.
I would make octopi amphibious.
Imagine... They'd be dominant over land and sea! Oh, the octopi with their ability to fit through an opening the size of a quarter and awesome camoflauge, not to mention the ink/eight legs bits we're all so familiar with.
