1. Establish a secure lifestyle and food source. My dorm room doesn't get direct sunlight, and there are a lot of tunnels on campus, so getting around wouldn't be impossible, but I'd have to drop out of my classes. How I found food would depend on my exact powers and whether there are other vampires around.
2. Turn my friend who likes vampires; she'll come up with much better ideas than I could.

Do you have to drink blood? That's always bothered me. Vampire movies rarely explain why vampires need to drink blood. If I didn't have to, I'd become a friendly superhero, and subsequently starve.
