Uhm, thinking about how a clone isn't exactly me in any way except for looks if we've had the same diet and lived in the same climate I can't see why not. If I've been cloned as a child and it had been like a twin brother to me I probably wouldn't have liked him because siblings always fight. That would have been like a twin relationship where the 2 parts usually decide to be different so they wont be taken as the same person. I'd say this question is stupid and uneducated because of the science fiction view on cloning is the one most seem to think of whenever they hear the word clone.
Also if I got cloned now my clone would be a baby with the physical age of 19 in every cell, simply a person who would die earlier and have no intelligence or similar to mine. I don't make good friends with babies.

IF we were to think of the science fiction view that my clone would be me, thyen we wouldn't get along because we would have discussions like the one above.

I happen to agree with Daniel O'Brien;
There are only two acceptable outcomes to meeting your clone.

I'd go with murder. I shouldn't have to tell you what the other is.

I'd probably get-off with him ;) And then it would probably be awkward.
Then we'd probably just mess about and have fun [ normal fun ] till we got bored of each other
and then we'd mess about and have fun with our friends, things would be fun with 2 of me.

I don't understand why so many people think they'd end up murdering their own clone... don't you have board games, or video games? Plus if it's a clone, you could watch all kinds of terrible movies and MST3k them.

This makes me think of that Calvin and Hobbes comic when he clones himself, thinking about how great it's going to be until he realizes how much he hates being around himself. The same thing would happen to me.

Sure I'd be friends with my clone, why not. We would have the same interests, likes and dislikes, so why not.

Easy answer, of course yes, we'd have the same ideals and the same deep hatred of humanity, therefore, not only would we be happy, but we'd probably combine our brains and destroy humanity and live among the animals, as naked as nature intended!

Scientific progress goes boink. Lets not forget that Calvin wanted the other Calvin to clean his room. Since clone Calvin was technically Calvin clone Calvin refused to clean Calvins room and ran off. I think as long as you don't get an exact clone of yourself to do something you wouldn't you will get along with your clone.

We'd be trying to kill each other... So, no I could not be friends with myself.

Never stick two of me, or someone eerily like me in the same room with me.
