Actually...strange as it sounds, I know for a fact I would be. There was an incident a couple of weeks ago where a mod's joke was misinterpreted and some people on the usergroups I frequent started to panic. Caught me by surprise when I woke up and noticed the 21 messages in my inbox, including a "hey, in case you get banned, we can hang out here" link.

I'm still not sure what to think of all that.

Of course, this assumes I was permabanned out of nowhere. More likely case would be me turning everyone against me and being banned for asshattery. Not going to happen any time soon, but still.

For the benefit of people who don't know what Drow's talking about, I'll elaborate:
As some of you remember, SA mocked our forums, including a section on NeutralDrow's A Drug That Makes You Dream review (as expected, since SA is full of hate for anime and other Japanese things). A mod (who shall remain nameless) joked that he wanted to know who wrote that review (NeutralDrow's name was not shown) so he could ban him. I notified the visual novels group of this seemingly very real threat, leading to a panic on at least my part (if you haven't guessed, Mr. Drow's kind of a big deal around that group). Thankfully Scotth266 PM'd that mod and confirmed it was a joke, ending the panic. Still, those few hours were goddamn tense.
