This list is pretty damn spot on in my book. The people whining in this thread are forgetting that this list is about the influence each console has had on the industry. And in that aspect I think they nailed the rankings pretty perfectly.

Edit: It's funny because it seems like the only people riled up are PS3 fanboys. I love how IGN is supposedly biased against Sony when the PS2 is in the top 5...lawlz

People are also forgetting that this isn't about which console is "best". It's about which consoles have had the greatest impact on the industry. Seriously, go read the criteria they are making this list on.

It's hard to rate consoles from different generations, because of course the newer ones will be better. The key is to find which consoles were the best in their time period. Otherwise, the list will just be a list of consoles from oldest to newest.

PS3 IS worse than the original Xbox. So it has Blu-Ray. First, learn to spell Blue.

Second, who gives a flying S*** about graphics?

I, for one, do not. That would be the reason I'm replaying Final Fantasy 6, 7, and 8. Graphics are nice, but do not mean anything.

Third, so it has Blu(e)-Ray, name the "good" games on it that aren't on the Xbox 360.

Metal Gears Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Uncharted, inFAMOUS, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance 1 and 2, Warhawk, Killzone 2, Fat Princess, MAG (I played the beta, I liked it, I'm counting it) Motorstorm. Those are just the one's I have played.

Also, I'll feel free to point out the rip offs of Xbox 360 Games that are listed as good games.
