I'm the same, I'm on a launch PS3 and its still going strong, my Xbox360 however I'm forever pulling to pieces to fix it, I have to fix it myself because its A) its a Taiwanese model and B) I wouldn't pay anyone to clean my drive when I can do it myself in ten minutes.

Stupid power brick died on me too, I lost my PS3 power cable too, but I put a 5 amp fuse in a kettle lead and low and behold, the fucking thing works.

Also, the point that PS3 is the first system to have Blu-Ray is kind of moot considering Sony invented Blu-Ray....

That's like me trying to tout the 360 for being the "first system to have Windows Media Center".

Besides... you can have your Blu-Ray player considering that the next generation of consoles may not even have disc drives as everything will move to a digital download anyhow.

(And if you honestly went through 9 360s I suggest you handle your possessions more carefully because what you are describing is incredibly unlikely)

Nintendo 64 probably had more revolutionary games than the 360 had but I'm guessing people there where just 360 fanboys. Seeing that it's the only reason it could get that high.

If you just scroll up a bit or go to the previous page, you will see that answered by many people. Xbox live alone should sum it up, it took what the xbox original did and improved on it vastly. There is over 17 million members of Xbox live, a statistic that PSN has yet to pull off.

OT: I see with the Wii and 360 out of the way the PS2 has made it to the top 5. I see a winner.

Okay, don't even start with that, "I don't take care of it" Bullshit.

I'm not bashing it with a hammer. I'm not having sex with it. All I'm doin is playin the goddamn thing about an hour a day in a room thats kept at 58 degrees all fucking day, and it still dies on me.

And don't even think about saying that I play it too much. Even though I play it only an hour a day, I should be able to play that thing whenever the fuck I want, however long I want. If not, it should come with a warning, but it doesn't.

Well the list has no handheld consoles, therefore I think they aren't even considering them for this. So taking into consideration home entertainment systems, I think the list is actually not that bad. Before the PS3 was released many companies dropped their contracts to start purchasing Cell processors once they were ready. The reason for this is mainly because some better alternatives were already in the making.

I would argue the opposite. If anything IGN push the PS3 a bit more than the 360.
