I hope they do. As much as I love the 360, the PS2 was a purely badass console.

Agreed about the gamecube being higher. I loved that thing.

As for the winner I'm hoping for the SNES but the PS2 and NES are pretty good chances too.

think about Super Smash Brothers Brawl and...Mario Kart. Think of the children and those that play Wii sports and use the Wii fit.

I'm not saying it's not good for a bit of fun with friends, or for introducing people over 50 or under 10 to gaming. But best console ever? If it get's that then murder will be done.

PS2, N64,NES and PS1 for the top 5/10 I guess. I'll say the PS2 for Top 1, cause it's the most sold console evah, and it still sells as much as todays console generation.

I agree.
The PS2 has had a tremendous influence on gaming, with over 138 million units sold.
It brought many a good game, could play PSX games and DVDs.
I think this is the console that really brought gaming into the mainstream.

But SNES also had much influence, so I reckon that it too has a chance at the top spot.

My guess for top 5 is, in no particular order, this:

* Playstation
* Nintendo 64
* Playstation 2
* SNES
* Nintendo Wii (although I hate to admit it)

What are they judging the consoles on?

Well they appear to base it on how drunk they were at the time of them arriving a decision.

I would put game cube at least in the top five, but they appear to have found a snug place for it nearer the bottom below some consoles I have never even heard of. I have authority to put the gamecube up there because I have played nearly all the consoles in recent memory (all the way back to the N64 and snes ect) so and have played many games from all sides (ps3,360). Whereas I suspect that these people have sat down in a disjointed group of nerds who have played different consoles and bickered ceaselessly to construct this somewhat unintelligable mess. And they probably ate lots of pizza and drank lots of beer too.

Yeah i can't see past the SNES for number 1 followed probably by the N64 and PS2.

Also, there is 25 consoles?!?!?! news to me lol but alas i am a young-un.

...anyway, I'm pretty sure the PS2 will be pretty high, as will the SNES.

There are still over fifty consoles.

Gameboy will definately be in the top ten, maybe even top five. Wii will be up there too. SNES in the top ten for sure, and the Megadrive. Commodore could be up there.
Edit: Oh yeah, and the PS2 will be there somewhere.

The Mega Drive/ Genesis will be top 5 for sure.
No Xbox 360 or Wii yet so I'm guessing they'll make an appearance in there somewhere.
