The NES gets all that propaganda about apparently having saved gaming (debatable but off topic), and well to be fair it was one of the 1st consoles to have games that were based on a bit more depth than just simply high scores. (e.g. Final Fantasy, Zelda, and Super Mario Bros 3).

Also everyone flaming this video, please stop looking at it from a mainstream perspective and try to be more open minded. I think she made some good points (despite saying "not too shabby" waaaay too much) and though I would put my list differently in the end it's their opinion, and not everyone is going to agree with it.

Well thats easy to explain, the X box at the time were it was at the top was the best console for graphics, it (Despite the Dreamcast having it first) was pretty much the benchmark for online console gaming, it's memory size was almost endless to the point were you never really needed to worry about memory space on your consoles as opposed to the memory card system the other consoles had. it brought a lot of things to the gaming world, the PS3 really hasn't, it's graphics for the most part are on Par with the 360 despite PS3 having the potential to have far better graphics (In some cases the 360 has out done the PS3 on graphics), it has a Blueray player, but Blueray isn't all that big at the moment, it's more of a niche thing for those who can afford a HD and can be bothered to pay an extra £10 for a dvd for a little extra quality , it has it's own internet browser true enough but really a PC can do that and well the Wii as something a lot similar. I do however think it was a little harsh, I don't think the PS3 should have been in 15th place, maybe 12th.

This is bullshit. How many consoles have there ever been anyway? We're in the 7th generation of consoles and let's say there's an average of 5 consoles for each, that makes 35... Even if it's more like 50, the top 25 isn't much of a *Top*, just the upper half...

Wouldn't a list of twenty-five be pretty much all the consoles.

Also... ITT: kids who are wilfully ignorant of anything that happened before the year 2000, and people who only read the list hence not the criteria for their selection. I know, it's a lot of effort to click a link, so I'll quote it for you:

Well seeing as how we're living in the 7th generation of consoles, it's likely that most of the consoles that have bin created(or at least the ones we give a fuck about) will make a top 25 list. They might as well just range every console from worst to best. It's like making a top 6 Star Wars movies list, there's no surprise to be had because you already know what six are going to make the list

I mean, yeah the PS2 should be somewhere on the top 10. As for the list, well as someone said before it really depends on what the reviewers assessing criteria were and according to IGN their criteria seems fair and unbiased. I mean we all know the PS3 is the most superior console in the market but because of obvious reasons it hasn't really done well (hence #15). All in all I agree with the list...so far.

I wonder there the 360 will come in?. Hm..

I'll say the PS1 will be one, Game Trailers did this and they had convincing arguments since the emphasis of 3D for that console was a major step in the industry.
