It wasn't the same as the first Motorstorm, it felt wrongHardcore_gamer said:Why?
In the first Motorstorm almost all of the tracks looked and felt the same. In Pacific rift the tracks actually look and feel different from one another. Plus i can now play 2 player with my friends, something the first Motorstorm did not allow me to do.
I personally thought Resistance 2 was a little better than Killzone 2. The controls for R2 just feel so much tighter and more responsive. As great of a game as Killzone 2 is, it really suffers from sluggish controls, even post patch. Guerilla Games really held on to that ideology that, somehow making your character feel "heavier and weighted down" would make their game unique but really all it did was make it frustrating to aim and move around.pha kin su pah said:Killzone 2, Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles like everybody else suggested.
Would avoid Prototype, considering you've got Infamous as an option now, i'd be hesistant with Resistance as well.
After looking at review sites and seeing that they gave Halo 3, MGS4 and Ocarina of Time 10/10 and a far lesser score to Alpha Centauri and Bioshock, I prefer to ignore them.Depth Charge said:I never understand threads like this.
"Tell me what games to buy"
You know what games you like better than anyone else. Go to a review site and browse the highly rated games and check out what interests you. People here are just going to spout out the same games over and over and everyone has differing opinions of what's considered good.
Not trying to be a dick but this board is filled with useless stuff like this.
I already have CoD 4 and Bioshock, as well as the last 2 Bethesda games. And I spent a few hours at a friend's house playing Prototype and found it to be great fun.InfernoJesus said:Prototype will disappoint you.
I do recommend very highly Uncharted, Call of Duty 4, and Bioshock. You will not be disappointed with these great games. You may also want to look at Fallout 3 and Oblivion, but I'd wait for Fallout 3 since they're about to release a Game of the Year edition with all the DLC.
That is most likely. Curse my stubborn old ways.Hardcore_gamer said:Perhaps you have just become to attached to the first game to appreciate the new one.
That wasn't really my point. You don't just read the score and go out and buy the game. A smart person would be able to read the review and decide if the game is for them or not, regardless of whatever pointless number value the game is given. The very same games rated highly on IGN are the very same games these people on this board are recommending to you. So really it's no different, anyways.Zombie Badger said:After looking at review sites and seeing that they gave Halo 3, MGS4 and Ocarina of Time 10/10 and a far lesser score to Alpha Centauri and Bioshock, I prefer to ignore them.
After the massive disappointment of Halo 3 (10/10 from everywhere) and the minor disappointment of Ocarina of Time (contrary to popular belief that has not aged well, if it was once as good as people say it was), I prefer to ignore review scores. I also would prefer not to sit through 9 1/2 hours of cutscenes, especially when I could have more fun watching the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy in that time.Crash486 said:I also recommend you reconsider MGS4, it really is a great game despite all the negative press it's gotten from the xtards. Really, it has a 10.0 on IGN and a metacritic score of 94, how bad can it really be?
