Why?

In the first Motorstorm almost all of the tracks looked and felt the same. In Pacific rift the tracks actually look and feel different from one another. Plus i can now play 2 player with my friends, something the first Motorstorm did not allow me to do.
It wasn't the same as the first Motorstorm, it felt wrong

farmerboy219: Sorry if that is you, but those reviews were really badly made:S Way too long a wishy-washy. Very "general" and sometimes just...wrong.S

On topic: K2, COD:MWF ?

Killzone 2, Uncharted, Valkyria Chronicles like everybody else suggested.

Would avoid Prototype, considering you've got Infamous as an option now, i'd be hesistant with Resistance as well.
I personally thought Resistance 2 was a little better than Killzone 2. The controls for R2 just feel so much tighter and more responsive. As great of a game as Killzone 2 is, it really suffers from sluggish controls, even post patch. Guerilla Games really held on to that ideology that, somehow making your character feel "heavier and weighted down" would make their game unique but really all it did was make it frustrating to aim and move around.

Don't get me wrong, I would still recommend it, its a great game with really excellent graphics and a robust multiplayer, but i don't think I would recommend it over Resistance 2 (personal opinion).

As for Infamous vs Prototype, I agree. Once you play Infamous, playing Prototype really just seems messy and sloppily designed. The shapeshifting concept is alot cooler than lightning, but the execution of Infamous just feels so much better put together. The controls, the progression, the graphics, everything just feels so polished. Prototype was really a big let down for me, I'm very glad I rented it first.

I never understand threads like this.

"Tell me what games to buy"

You know what games you like better than anyone else. Go to a review site and browse the highly rated games and check out what interests you. People here are just going to spout out the same games over and over and everyone has differing opinions of what's considered good.

Not trying to be a dick but this board is filled with useless stuff like this.
After looking at review sites and seeing that they gave Halo 3, MGS4 and Ocarina of Time 10/10 and a far lesser score to Alpha Centauri and Bioshock, I prefer to ignore them.

Prototype will disappoint you.

I do recommend very highly Uncharted, Call of Duty 4, and Bioshock. You will not be disappointed with these great games. You may also want to look at Fallout 3 and Oblivion, but I'd wait for Fallout 3 since they're about to release a Game of the Year edition with all the DLC.
I already have CoD 4 and Bioshock, as well as the last 2 Bethesda games. And I spent a few hours at a friend's house playing Prototype and found it to be great fun.

Perhaps you have just become to attached to the first game to appreciate the new one.
That is most likely. Curse my stubborn old ways.

That said though i wasn't the only one that felt Motorstorm 2 felt wrong when compared to the first but they couldn't exactly explain what was different.

Fallout 3 (but I too would recommend waiting a month for goty)
Warhawk (if you have a ps3, you should have Warhawk)
Saints Row 2 the only gta clone better than gta... well... gta4 at least.
Valkyria Chronicles (but try the demo first, it's not for everybody; I really liked it)

There's a lot of demos you should try: echocrome Pixel Junk Monsters (Eden too), the last guy. Those games are cheap but the demos are free. Also try the demos for infamous, Batman, and anything else you think looks cool. They're free. Batman and Infamous are worth buying if (like me) you're the kind of guy who likes to explore and discover every little thing in a game. They're both rich experiences but brief if you just want to play through a story.

That wasn't really my point. You don't just read the score and go out and buy the game. A smart person would be able to read the review and decide if the game is for them or not, regardless of whatever pointless number value the game is given. The very same games rated highly on IGN are the very same games these people on this board are recommending to you. So really it's no different, anyways.

Motorstorm 2 and Uncharted.

Also you've got Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain to look forward to.

Call of Juarez 2
Saints Row 2 - Soooo much fun :D
all great games

Also you will probably want to get space marine when it comes out, it looks set to be great.

If I think of any others I will post them later.

Oh thought of another, Chronicles of riddick, it rocks, as not only do you get assualt on dark athena but you also get a redone version of the much better escape from butcher bay which is a brillient game.

I also recommend you reconsider MGS4, it really is a great game despite all the negative press it's gotten from the xtards. Really, it has a 10.0 on IGN and a metacritic score of 94, how bad can it really be?

PSN Titles -
Fl0wer
Wipeout HD
Mega Man 9 if you like "retrogaming"
Echochrome if you like puzzle games
After the massive disappointment of Halo 3 (10/10 from everywhere) and the minor disappointment of Ocarina of Time (contrary to popular belief that has not aged well, if it was once as good as people say it was), I prefer to ignore review scores. I also would prefer not to sit through 9 1/2 hours of cutscenes, especially when I could have more fun watching the entire Lord of the Rings Trilogy in that time.

Thanks for recommending Wipeout HD though, I'd forgotten about that.
