So soon I'm gonna get a kindle and I'd like some suggestions for books to read, it doesn't matter what genre it is, I wanna see what I like. It doesn't have to be kindle specific so don't think of that as a problem :D

This probably has been done loads so yeah...

P.s. Please, no hate on the kindle or people's suggestions, Thanks :D
Try 'Fatherland' by Robert Harris. It's an alternative history thing where Germany won WW2, and a journalist slowly uncovers the horrors of the holocaust. Great stuff

If you want some good scifi read David Weber's books. Just about every single one I have read were worth reading.(the exceptions were still good reads just they were the next book in the series and were not the best book.) The First book I suggest is "On Basilisk Station"

Also one of the best book series I have ever read is called The Posleen War series by John Ringo. The First one here is "A Hymn Before Battle" I'm sitting here waiting for the next book and its not showing up fast enough!

Sue Grafton and Robert B. Parker are amazing. R.I.P. to the latter.

Children of Hurin! :0 My favourite Tolkien book, and probably my favourite book of all time.

ALL TIME.

Hurrah! Someone else who has read that book.

I recommend it, I would also recommend anything in the Warhammer 40k Imperial Guard series, if you like something that goes down easy. Also, as many history books as you can, I'd suggest Gibbon's The Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire, if you want something to absolutely drown in.

I can't recommend The Songs of Ice and Fire-series by George R. R. Martin high enough.
Also,
John Dies at the End by David Wong,
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon,
The Road by Cormac McCarthy,
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card,
and anything by Douglas Coupland (JPod, Microserfs, and Hey Nostradamus! in particular).

1984
the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy series
Anything by H.P. lovecraft
Anything by J.R.R Tolkien
Wanna know a good book I read in high school that no one ever says they've read? Staying fat for Sarah Burns. I don't remember the author though
If you like comics I recommend a graphic novel called DEMO. Its 12 stories about regular people getting superpowers and its not so much about fighting crime, but how these powers effect these peoples lives and how they cope. I really liked it personally.

I'll probably end up doing the same, i thought the film wasn't too good or too bad... it could have been better for sure
