A buddy and me set fire to a forest. Intentionally. We were 5 though so didn't really think it through. And it was a small forest, as far as forests go..

Think that got me a month, as well as being the only time I got grounded. Yay mis-behaving me :p

I never got grounded. When I turned 5, I led a successful revolution against my parents, giving the power to the proletariat of the house: me.

Wait, that might not be what happened... I was pretty well behaved, though. I think I got things taken away if I was bad.

I only got grounded once for losing my glasses. I felt that it wasn't fair, since I went to the lost and found before my mother found out and I got 'em back.
Three days felt a little harsh for telling her the truth.

I never really got grounded for much. We had other ways of dealing with issues. However, my girlfriend recently got grounded for asking her father to go to the store to buy some bread.
She lives alone with her father and is usually the one that does the shopping, the cleaning and the cooking (Besides getting good grades and trying to uphold some social life). While studying for a test she asked her father if he could go to the store and buy some bread, he said no because he rather wanted to watch soccer and drink beer like he always does. She says she has to study and is hungry, and it's raining, he says no and throwing this back and forth a little she's grounded for a week, she says it's stupid and is grounded for two weeks. She gets mad and slams the door to her room shut and gets three weeks of grounding, which if expanded to a month if she doesn't stay at home.

I held one hand in front of theother and held up my index finger so it looked like I was flipping off my older sister, I've forgotten what she did but it must have annoyed me. Apparently it was convincing enough for her to think it was real and get me grounded for a week.

I think I was once grounded for a few days when I was small, but I can't remember what it was for. Unfortunately for my parents, I didn't plan to go to any friends' houses anyway, so it was pretty pointless. If my parents want to punish me now, they just refuse to feed me... it's a cruel world.

Edit: I remember my mum sometimes slapped me, she stopped when I was 8 and just dodged her and hit back, but these punishments didn't happen very often, so don't thin I was a problem child.

Disagreeing with my Mom. We had a debate about something that we were both passionate about, and when I started to get the upper hand, she grounds me in a bout of rage for disrespecting her, after she blasted my opinion for an hour.

Was slightly bogus...

I had my friend over and he was staying at my house for 3 days. My dad went to church early in the morning without waking us up and gets home later and grounds me and my friend for not going. We were only aloud to look at my celine for 2 days.

My friend to this day still bitches me out for that lol

EDIT: He also grounded me because he thought the moon looked orange and I didn't. FML

My parents are split up, so when my mum started talking to the family (thats my 2 half brothers and my stepdad) about moving to America (as in, thinking about it, not actually saying we were definately going)

This worried me, as I didnt want to live in America (btw, its nothing to do with America itself, its just that I would miss everyone here, and Im incredibly bad at making friends at school, it was bad enough for me as it was, let alone going to a new country where I would probably be picked on for being the 'new kid') so after talking with my dad, I said to my mum (calmly) that I didnt want to live in America, and that If she did go then I would go live with my dad.

Instead of having a civil discussion with me, she flipped, say something about blasphemy or something and grounded me for a month, as well as tried to stop my dad seeing me.

This was about 2 years ago, which made me 14, which is old enough to know who I wanted to live with, so it was my choice, and I only set out to talk to her about it. I thought it a little harsh?

Ironic thing is, I live with my dad now, even though she didnt go, and when I go to visit her, she always ends up making a comment about my dad. Though I do ignore them, I was stressed once and ended up shouting at her. She tried to ground me. To which my reply was 'I dont live here, remember?'

Oh, I'm sure that went over just fine.

OT: I don't remember ever being grounded. My dad usually just hit me with a belt. -_-

I never really got grounded. My parents didn't want me to do drugs, or go to wild parties, or hang out with shady people, and I didn't want to either. So I didn't. As a kid I was spanked as punishment mainly, but as I got older, I knew when my parents were upset or disappointed and that became its own punishment. Eventually I'd see the light and it'd be all good.
