the next dlc bethesdas making is called point lookout, about point lookout state park in maryland, not a lot of rubble there.RyQ_TMC said:Idea number 1: Not made by Bethesda.
On a more serious note, I'd gladly see something like Vault City from F2. You know, a Fallout-universe location which is not a hellhole at first sight (granted, VC turned out to be less pleasant, but still...)? As much as I grew accustomed to the brownish-grey Wasteland from previous Fallout games, it would be nice to see more varied environs.
I wouldn't be able to stand it being in NYC. For those of you who did side-quests and what-not that require you to go to the city-like parts of the Fallout world, you probably noticed the entire place is blocked off by giant stacks of rubble that prevent you from going anywhere. NYC would be worse because the entire place would be filled with collapsed buildings if Bethesda does what they probably did in the Fo3 meeting.DA GOD A CRUNK said:Not saying its coming out, just think about it though it takes place in new york this time.
come up with your own ideas for the game, anything just post it in a comment.
Seriously? Since Obsidian Entertainment was founded after the disestablishment of Black Isle Studios (you know, they fine folks who created Fallout and Fallout 2, but not Fallout 3) this might be really interesting! And we might actually see the Fallout 2 engine again! One can only hope...BardSeed said:Obsidian are doing it.EnglishMuffin said:Can fallout 4 be good? Can it be by a different company? If bethesda is making it, it's gonna be equally bad as 3. If bethesda let's someone else make it then it might stand a chance of actually being good.
I didn't think black isle were established until fallout 2. But, yes, they might do a good job. I still have no confidence in a 3D fallout, though, and I highly doubt they'll go back to a top-down-isometric-turn-based-RPG. -Gasp-woem said:I would like to see them use the Fallout 2 engine again. Indeed: the team of Black Isle Studio's was a division of Interplay, and they only took on that name after the release of Fallout 1. Some of them later left to found Troika (Arcanum!) and the rest went on to form Obsidian. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for a 2D version though, it doesn't even have to be turn-based.BardSeed said:I didn't think black isle were established until fallout 2. I don't recall anybody slagging of the people who do like fallout 3, just the game, itself; oh, and Bethesda, of course.Pickel Surprise said:Also, to all the Fallout 3 haters: If you prefer Fallout 1 & 2, that's great. If those are your favorite games, then I'm happy for you. If you truly believe that Fallout 3 is the worst game ever made, that's fine. Just don't go running around spewing that anyone who enjoys Fallout 3 is somehow a blight on the face of the earth.
ooohhh Tokyo!Chipperz said:I wouldn't mind seeing it set in a completely urban landscape like New York City, or maybe even somewhere that isn't America? The ruins of Tokyo or Paris would be cool to explore...
