Oh yes. I know a few people who talk about the size of their Male organs frequently, and, of course, frustratingly. In my experience (Yes I am a guy, and not gay, no matter how this sounds) if a guy will talk about the size of his penis, usually saying it's big, they are usually immature.

Calumon: Thanks. Glad you like me! ^^ You look...kinda cool!
Haha, it's like guys who buy big cars to make up for their lack of size...it's so obvious they have something to hide! :D
I might be seriously missing something, but what's this Calumon business? Haha.

My issue isn't on how immature people behave, but the inability to be mature, even when it is necessary. It's great having a good time and messing about, but some people take it so far that you can't have a serious conversation with them, ever.
See, this is kind of the main issue I have at the moment. I'm doing a Literature course so I read a lot, I know a bit about politics, stuff like that, but NONE of that interests him...so I'm wondering exactly what we have in common, you know?

Man...why can't everyone just be as mature and cool as you guys?! Haha.

lack of interest in something does not imply a maturity level, big cars are sometimes just big cars, stop looking too deep into it, and the Calumon business is just... well, its what he does.

Sometimes opposites attract. One of my friends was with someone who was almost the complete opposite of him. He liked heavy metal, wore black clothing and had a dry sense of humour. She loved bright colours, pop music and had a light hearted sense of humour.

They worked out pretty well until Uni as they went to different ones, then distance and weak will power became a problem.

Haha, thanks for clearing the Calumon thing up...

I kind of worded that wrong, I mean has no interest in...self improvement. Cartoons, music and films are kinda the extent of what he's interested in. And when you can't have a conversation that doesn't revert back to sex or sex with old people, then...you know, it can be frustrating, at best. :D

If I had a penny for everytime someone asked me that, I would buy a mini pack of Haribo. ^^

Calumon: Here's why! ^^

Thats lack of ambition, not maturity.

And how old are we talking? Because if its in the cougar range, I can't blame him.

Maturity is the level of thought that you put into life. How reasoned and controlled they are. The extent to which they think into their future. How much they think about the consequences of their actions. What they spend their time and whether it is important.

It's a very fine line. Ambition begets maturity.

And I could understand cougar age. No, no...like, OAPs. 80 year olds...it's always a joke, but it gets old, surprisingly fast.

I'll provide an example to put this in perspective. He once said, in front of an ex (he was with her at the time) and all of her friends, that she had a "tight fanny".

Now...surely, common sense would tell you that this is a bad idea? She dumped him, yet he blamed her. Actually, every one of his ex's finished with him, but he blames them for being "psychotic" or "selfish", or umpteen other excuses. So it's not like I'm exaggerating or misinterpreting his behaviour.

Well just recently I met a guy on Left 4 Dead 2, I'm not one to talk about people like this but...my god he was just a jerk. I mean he was joking around with me but when it came to other people he was a pure jerk. Then this one girl he knew joined and my god you should have seen them both running their mouths at each other, I asked if they use to be an item and she told me no. For a WHOLE game they went at each other all because he told her never to get a tramp stamp...and then some crap about a picture of his *ahem*.
That is immaturity for both genders in my book.

[sub] and call me a dick but I only stayed in the game because it was funny as hell. [/sub]

Responsibility.

If a person makes "Your Momma" or "That's what she said" jokes all the time, but is always at a meeting 5 minutes early, takes time out to consider others' feelings and thinks about how they will retire they aren't immature.

Absolutely agreed. I say "That's what she said" (damn you, Michael Scott!) but am totally independent and have the social skills you mentioned (considering others etc).

But if said person makes a "That's what she said" joke repeatedly and then does NOTHING to improve themselves, their lives, or the lives of others around them...well, it'd get you thinking, right?

Immaturity is a difficult thing to discuss because it can mean different things. I have friends who are part of both extremities. Some think that anything remotely funny is stupid and the world is only about self improvement. Then there are the people who think that talking about your dick all day makes you seem like a badass.

Personally I hate the super mature people more. Self improvement is cool I guess, but people should stop forcing everyone else to be ultra mature. One could call me immature because I don't give a damn about what happens to me. I'm all about helping others, but I enjoy just rolling with the punches and taking what life throws at me.

>.< Calumon doesn't have a gender thus I try to avoid using "He" or "She", so... It's more Childish immaturity.

Calumon: What? What?

You know, the way you are talking, I'm wondering why you haven't dumped the male you started this topic to talk about.

Everyone knows that 'That's what she said' jokes need to be used responsibly, like alcohol and certain types of sex.
