Rolled 3 times...
18 (Vox Op')
50 (Basic Training)
78 (Armoured Sentinel)

I'm not complaining, I love my Sentinels they always get over looked...Tanks scare people more =D
As awesome as that chart is, it still leaves out some of the best jobs in the Imperial Guard;
Baneblade crewman, and Titan Legionnaire.

3: I'm a psyker... Let's jusy hope the Black Ship sanctions me for something nice like an astropath.
84: Leman Russ Driver... Yeah, sure, just don't be suprised if I'm driving up the hill we came over to, um, rearguard the basilisks? Hell, even the Leman has enough of a range for artillery support.
17: Vox Caster... Oh HELL YEAH, I just get to stand there delivering bad news, and what's more, I'm a tactical asset, I'm ALLOWED to take cover and stay alive.
76: Armoured Sentinal Driver... Sure, if it gets me a lascannon and enough height to set up behind a particularly tall building, I'm on it.
98: Inquisitorial Acolyte... And I was doing so well, getting all these lovely support roles. I think I'd rather be a conscript to be completely honest, at least then I know when I'm walking to my death... Which is most of the time.

Hmm this random career table seems flawed ... I see it as:

Table 1-
1 - 99: Guardsmen Conscript
100: Go to table 2 and re-roll

Table 2-
1 - 99: Guardsmen Conscript
100: Go to table 3 and re-roll

Table 3-
1 - 99: Guardsmen Regiment
100: Go to table 4

Table 4-
1-99: Go to table 1
100: Go to orignal table in thread

Seems a bit more realistic in IG recurietment terms :p

Either that or roll two die and if they match up then use the original table, else your a grunt ...

I'd probably defect to the Tau. I don't like them, they annoy the crap out of me, but they're basically the opnly race you can go to witout getting shot/burned/eaten. Although i'd much prefer to be made into a Necron Pariah. Eat my Warscythe.

I'd fight. Valiantly. THE EMPEROR PROTECTS

in all honesty i don't think I'd do that badly, just follow orders to avoid being killed by your own side, and use your buddies as cover. Most guardsmen go up against traitor guard, rather than the gribbly nasties of the game. So its WWI style mano-i-mano, just use cover and zap their faces off, get some nice field promotions then no need to enter combat any more.

win

XD

that kinda looks like an aquila haha

Kiss my Conscripted ass. :p
The Imperium was founded upon an army of conscripts (mostly dead conscripts, but still...)
me and my conspripted friends could blind you with our flashlights. if we're lucky you might fall over and we could hack open the sentinel's canopy :p
were they conscripted before they were dead or wat?

I would rather convert to the Necrons and become a Pariah and help reap the galaxy and bring about the Red Harvest.
The chances of becomeing a Pariah are very small. Only one person on evry planet in every generation have the pariah gene, even then they are likely to die early for they generally have little to no friend and many enemies.
Suits me just fine, as long as I get the chance to basically go Postal on everyone when I become a Pariah I don't care. They're my favourite army. I collect them and play them and in the Warhammer computer games I always play as them.
Yeah the Necrons are my fabourite army too. They're just so awesome.
I remember going into the Workshop one day and playing against another fellow Necron player. It was dubbed as the "1,000 Year War" with the workers. We were playing it like chess in the way, each of us having one Monolith and roughly equal forces, Heavy Destroyers and several Destroyers plus infantry. I made the Monolith go out front and we kept the Destroyers in the back in case we had to outmanouvre the opponent.

I was holding up fairly well. The fire was concentrated on my Monolith but it was still standing and dishing death, with a few soldiers staying down. Troops staying behind the Monolith as cover, I thought I had it in the bag.

Next thing I knew he moved his Heavy Destroyer out from behind his soldiers to the front, then gliding over to the side of my Monolith. Oh ho, I thought, his only Heavy Destroyer is a dead Necron when it's my turn!

He fired his weapon at my Monolith. It hit on a 5. It then breached my armour and armour save at a roll fo 2X 6!!!! My Monolith blew up! Taking most of my forces with it!

NOOOOOO!!! As this happened the full strength of his forces moved in, along with his Monolith, to finish off what was left before the "Faze Out Rule" came to effect.

I lost...
Man that sounds like an awesome match. Wish I could have seen it. I have really seen any other Necron players were I live.
It was a kick ass match. love playing Warhammers. Even when I lose, normally I'm good enough to make it an epic and entertaining match. I play for fun, really. I also experimented with the paint on my Necron units. Doesn't look fantastic, but I wanted to try out something new besides the drab metalic colour I see Necrons coated in often.
Warhammers?
the plural remains Warhammer - singular

sorry, but that grinds my gears - such as with Legos<< the plural remains Lego. singular.

sounds to have been an epic match, I'm a guard collector myself

cuz I'm so full of disregard for my fellow man tehe

This is hilarious... I'd try to do my best. I mean, you could totally become a space marine if you did well, right?
No you cant... Guardsmen average survival rate is 2% per battle.... I would try to be heroic but in doing so shooting my commissar in the face. Then i flee
2%?! now i'm no expert of military logistics, but that is a TACTICAL FAIL

besides, i haven't been keeping up with my warhammer lately anyway, and any real world army would focus on preserving the lives of it's troopers, making it a priority and sh*t...

Hahahahaha!!! Nice!!! Good choice of colours as well. I painted mine with a bit of metal colour and a brush of yellow, since I didn't have gold. Wanted to show that the gold colour on their armour dulles away in the millenia they were asleep.
Thast why I made mine a dull gold for that same reason.

Yes, or we could be controlled by the C'tan, in which we are being trained to control the Necron armies when they awaken.

Controlled by the C'tan to paint your Necrons a dull Gold?
what will that achieve?
