Ok, so i just experienced one of those "lol, coincidence" moments. I was looking at the threads on the home page, and they read like this...

-Poll: Are you single?
-Poll: Are you insane.
-How to break away from my girlfriend.

It gave me a chuckle. And it also reminded me of some other incredibly improbable things that have happened to me.

So i ask you Escapists, what are some of the strangest and most improbable things that have ever happened to you? Were you ever turned into a bowl of petunias?

Personally I have a favorite; in 6th grade, i was having a snowball fight with some friends. I threw a snowball, and it intercepted another snowball in midair, making an almost perpendicular intersection. The majority of snow from both snowballs fused and changed direction, hitting someone entirely different. It took us maybe 10 minutes to stop laughing and figure out what happened.

Some dumb-ass once tried to drop a quarter on my head from the second floor of my local mall. It landed directly in my side pocket, so I went over, bought a soda with it and waved to him.

Some dumb-ass once tried to drop a quarter on my head from the second floor of my local mall. It landed directly in my side pocket, so I went over, bought a soda with it and waved to him.

One of my friends was playing minigolf, and he hit the ball off a rock, a wall, and into a pocket in his cargo pants. I watched the whole thing and didn't tell him where it was for about 10 minutes.

The biggest co-inky-dink I've encountered is just 'I said ShamWow, then without any previous preperation or visual cue, at exactly the same time, my friend and I said 'You following me camera guy?''

i threw a rubber ball in class (nothing to do during 8th period cause my teacher was coaching his track class) it bounced around on desks backpacks heads and hit a paper plane that landed in my shirt pocket

I once scored on myself during a game of beer pong. I was crushing some guy at the local rugby house and I saw one of my team mates enter the room. I tossed the ball at his head for a couple of laughs because I assumed I had the game beat still holding 6 cups to my opponents one. Well, my friend ducked, the ball hit a TV then proceeded to fly all the way across the room to land in my middle cup.

Almost the same as the snowball, I was in a golf tournament, and shanked one behind a knoll. I couldn't see my partner so i just went for it. Our golf balls, on two completely different tragectories, collided in mid-air directly over the green. his ball went straight down near the cup and mine, of course, shot straight left into a bunker.

A friend and I both did a fake punch to each other and our fists hit each other...he wasn't putting much effort into it, but since my hand is very boney, it hurt me like hell >.> xD We still joke about it today~ Not very funny saying it on here, but if you saw it, you'd laugh too xD

Though the craziest thing that happens to me even today is...sometimes I'd be text messaging a friend and I'd take out my phone, thinking I'd get a text message at that time...well I don't, but when I put my cell in my pocket, I get the text message...coincidence? Maybe...awesome? YES xD

Me and my friends were playing basketball and after taking a shot it hit the backboard, spun around the ring and hit some girl in the back of the head.

1 of 2 things. the first is my current gf, loves video games, anime porn, rollercoasters, pizza, has an hourglass body and looks like a cute anime chick, and the fact she actually thinks im attractive even though ive got a bit of a gut. the 2nd thing is actually watching christian bale cause a breakdown on the roger rabbit ride at disneyland while i was working there. roger rabbits car-toon spin is one of those rides where if you work on it, you want it to burn down so you never have to go work there, it is that frustrating. anywho, he comes onto the ride with his family, they're taking forever, the rest of the staff is looking at each other mouthing the words "101" which is the codeword for "some idiot guest is causing/about to cause/has caused the ride to shut down" and sure enough the alarm goes off, we have to go around releasing everyone stuck on the ride back to the front and letting them know what happened, while we inform everyone on the intercom that the ride is down and they're welcome to stay and wait blah blah blah. so of the 3 celebrity encounters ive had (the other 2 being consisting of seeing johnny depp being chased by a gaggle of chicks at the matterhorn and laughing my ass off, the other i was enraged as i saw my friend on storybook boats riding with hugh hefner and 5 playboy bunnies. lucky bastard) i think i'll remember that one the most
