I'd lower my gun and tell him that the blood he shed on my side has been paid. Before I leave, I'd tell him the next time I won't settle for an equal blood price, and kill him and his entire family. And I mean entire family.

Tell the kid to "get out" and that his parent and I "have some unfinished business."

Then kill my enemy.

The ultimate bastard move would be to either kill the guy in front of his kid then raise the kid as your own, or even worse, leave the guy, take the kid, and raise the kid as your own anyway and raise him/her to kill his/her 'evil' parent. So that's what I'd do. Hey, if I can write short stories about characters who turn psycho, and still have them as the 'good' guys, surely I can indulge my real life evil side?

Otherwise, I'd just shoot them both. End it there and then, and stop the kid from coming back later on to kill me :)

Hmm either I'd kill the father and make the child eat the corpse or I'd kill the child and make the father eat the corpse. Either way after the eating is done I'd kill them.
Bloody hell, that's just sick. Even in my short stories I wouldn't have my characters do that...

Actually, no, I probably would :). Nice idea...

Kill him quickly and brutally.

Kill the boy even more quickly in the immediatte aftermath, thus avoiding any possible Inigo Montoya type situations in the future.

If I'm there to kill the guy and I've waded through an army of innocent mooks just doing their jobs to get there, the little boy's nothing but a foot note on the pages of history.

Go the Beatrix kiddo way and kill the dude then offer the kid the chance to fight me in the future if they want.

Reminds me of the Bourne Identity.
Maybe I'm confusing with another movie, but what part reminds you of the Bourne identity ? Because I don't see.
At the very end when he is about to kill zombowi (or whatever his name is), but he sees his child playing on his lap. So he aborts the mission.

the childs age is a bit of a useful factor in this scenario
i know .. if it was a baby then i'd cap the guy anyway

the fact that he has a child means nothing .. he has to face the consequences of his action

if the child is old enough to have been manipulated by his father then i'll kill it too, if not i'll take the child and make sure it gets a proper upraising under extreme supervision and when he or she are of mature age they will be informed of their father and their history
Exactly what I would do
I wouldn't shoot child at all, because what did he do? Also I doubt he will be much of a threat :p
yes, the child isn't a threat .. but that may not be the case 20 years from that day, when it's a fully grown adult with visions of men slaughtering the only family its ever had .. even knowing the cause was just, the child may still act out of rage .. a situation like that has to be handled in a very specific and delicate manner ... 1 slight variable could potentially lead to the child following in its fathers footsteps. the child must be well socialised and educated before learning of its past

though our actions must be humane, we must consider the safety of future generations .. if the child was old enough to remember the day his father was slaughtered .. then we'll be digging 2 graves that day

Well, if one would use the KillBill method of solving this problem, then you ought to wait till the kid either goes to sleep or just to their room, then either throw a knife into your enemies chest, or immediately start fighting and pull the 5-Point Palm Exploding Heart technique.

However I personally would set aside my yearn for revenge and let my enemy live.

EDIT: Shit! Ninja'd!

i need to know for if i kill the child as well, or leave my enemy alive, kidnap the child, inseminate her, then abort the fetus in front of my enemy, then killing him

that's how messed up i am

I would kill the father and tell him "kill me if you wish when your older. I understand that you will want revenge." and go through some movie thing or something.

They both die. Sorry kid, but I can't chance revenge, leading into an endless loop of, "Someone is killed, their kids sees, that kid gets revenge years later in front of the mortal enemies kid, repeat, etc, etc."

Boy: Yes.

You always make such fantastic topic, Eman.
Thanks for that, but I'm curious...

Why is the gender an issue?
While I am not usually sexist, there is just something about a little girl that melts my heart. Young boys...not so much. Then again, at 12, girls can already look older than they are sometimes.

if i already fought a bunch of people to get there, i would probably drop them both

especially because he's a twelve year old

younger i could probably leave them
but twelve year olds generally kind of suck.
