It would be flawless... Except for the fact that the kid would be there seeing you kill his father... If the kid was younger, it wouldn't matter so much because it would be easier to make him forget, but you have to remember, this kid in this scenario is 12... That's the age where their body starts doing weird things and causes them to rebel against EVERYONE!

You could try however... I just think you'd end up killing him in the end for being completely annoying

Thinking logically, you hate this man so much, you're blinded by rage. Anything in the child has come from the man you loathe. It would make sense to kill the child first, burning a whole in your enemy's heart, stripping him of everything he loved, just like he had you. You then have your chance to do what you want, but killing him would just end his pain. He has to see what he has done to you, and more. I'd beat him until he was drowsy, then leave, slipping him a gun. When he comes around, he tries to take his own life, as his is no longer worth anything, but to make him suffer, I left him no ammunition. He pulls the trigger, hears the click, and dies inside, wailing in his own blood and tears and he must spend the rest of his life a broken man.

I'd tell the child to close his eyes and cover his ears. Shoot the dad, and try to reason with the child as to why I did what I did. I know I'd never make him agree with me, but maybe he'll see eventually and not kill me.
