I played and finished Daikatana.

Levels are uninteresting, weapons are more likely to hurt you than the enemies, enemies are cheap and the 'RPG' element is horrible.
Hell, the game was so broken it made my computer forget it had a D: partition(the location I installed all my games to) when I uninstalled it.

that game was utterly dreadful...

no, i havent played too many bad games.
^ This here.
2nd place goes to... Hmm, this is actually kinda hard to think of, I don't play many bad games either =|
Wolfenstein I suppose, because it's Multiplayer was crap, but it's campaign was alot of fun.
Duke Nukem Forever I suppose is my #2.
I played about 20 minutes, then couldn't play anymore. It was so boring >.>

Boiling Point - Road to Hell, that was a turd-pile. Only payed very little for it, but it was a waste of money still.

Hmm, by my standards, bad games are one's I voluntarily stop playing before doing much in the game. So for me that's: Half Life 2 (my god that game is boring), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat (because the graphics were terrible, the engine handled poorly, automatic weapons have insane recoil and the game seemed to be incredilow budget with just everything coming across as bad), Garry's Mod (because is crashed three times in the 11 minutes of game-time I played it for, I didn't even have any stuff loaded, just the base game, and fyi my system can run crysis on high-very high 1920x1080 so it should have been fully capable to play gmod).

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it yet, so I'll do it.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

I've been a lifelong Sonic fan (I even enjoyed HALF of Sonic Unleashed), but this game just felt like a betrayal of everything Sonic was, even after he went to 3d (which I don't think was as much of a failure as everyone keeps saying).

It was slow, it was laggy, the plot was incomprehensible, many parts of the story-gameplay were unnecessary, the character of Silver was a fucking joke, the character of Elise was a fucking abomination, the loading times were absolutely colossal, the soundtrack wasn't up to much, aaaaannnd that's about it.

I will say one thing in it's favour though: Best. Eggman. Ever.

Asteroids on the Atari 2600 back in 1985.

I hated those little asteroid shaped pixels of doom. No matter how fast I spun and how many times I bounced my finger on that red button of laser shooting joy I could never stop them.

Such an awful, awful game.
It was my second fps game, the first being king kong, which i really liked.
Shame really, put me off FPS's for a while.

Bomberman: Act Zero on Xbox 360 and Rugby League Live on PS3. Never bought them, only borrowed from a local game rental shop. Neither are worth even a rental.

Im going to have to say its kane and lynch 2. It was completely unplayable and worst of all I couldn't return the fucking thing because apparently the guys at my old gaming store wouldn't take it back because they knew it was shit.
Unplayable? I thought unplayable meant, you know, unplayable. That it's nearly impossible to beat the game because of how broken it is. Games like Oriental Hero.

I haven't played Kane & Lynch 2, and I'm not trying to argue it's not a bad game, but I'm still pretty sure you're overreacting. You've probably never played a truly unplayable game, which is good I guess. Except that only playing relatively functional games makes you use words like "unplayable" to mean "below avarage".

That's some damn bad luck. When it works, Garry's Mod can be hilarious fun. Particularly in the multiplayer (stand on platform high above map, drop a metric shitton of bouncy balls down! Infinite lagtrolling! Admins will go bankrupt)

OT: ...*looks at library to small to contain any properly bad games*

Do I have to choose? I like pretty much everything I play...

This title goes to Halo, all of them. Reach was fine if you played co-op but otherwise, come on, nothing they did was "new" or exciting. They were all just bland, generic FPS'es.
True, but that doesn't mean "bad". I'm a little jealous if Halo is the very worst game you've played.
For me, it goes to Prey. One of the few games I've ever traded in for terribleness without getting even half-way through the game.
Ironically I thought halo and prey were great game's, (halo reach is in my top greatest 5 games ever along with titles like portal 2, mirrors edge, mass effect 2 and crysis). if you want a bad game's try pirtaes of the carrabeen at worlds end for ps2 or men in black for ps2 (or xbox), medal of honor vanguard was not necacarally really bad, just really boring.

I want to say Fallout 3 because the game just became so mediocre the moment you realized that V.A.T.S. was the superior way to go, but worst game ever would probably go to Call of Duty: Black Ops.

I can't believe someone said Half-Life 2. Explain yourself.

EDIT: In fact, 90% of games that are based off movies/already existing franchises (you know who you are) are the worst games ever.
