I seem to recall Superman 64 being really vile. I think it was just flying thru rings in a green version of outer space for the whole game.

Things don't have to be just "awesome" or "shit", they can be something in between.
Man, this is the internet. Here, those are the only options.

But enough of that. My worst game would have to be either that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game (not the arcade game, the one for the PS2 based on the cartoon from the 2000s, not the 1980s), or this one Marvel superhero game on the Wii.

The former was fun for the first few minutes, but after hearing Leonardo scream "slice and dice!" 10,000 times, I wanted to start banging my head against a solid object. The latter was just a prime example of why anything that isn't a gimmicky party game sucks on the Wii. Of course, I will say that the game probably sucked on the other consoles, just more so with the Wii.

The worst game I own now, though, is probably Splinter Cell: Conviction. Since games are so expensive now, I try not to get anything but the best.

Call of Duty Black Ops.
Now now, let me explain.
I've realised that the CoD series has come a long way, but you'd think by now they'd have something alittle more unique. I have seen zero change between Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, other than this dolphin dive business. I'm just surprised that games can gain so much attention when they're dead the same as its predecessor. Games are becomming too generic to be fully enjoyed as a new experience.
I don't understand you people. First you (individuals) claim DA2 is bad because it's so different from DA:O, then you claim Black Ops is bad because it has zero difference when compared to Modern Warfare 2. Well you wanted the change or not ? Opinions are shit. Facts are for real. I can understand that DA2 is different in bad way but w/e.
Saying that Black Ops is bad is opinion, but saying that e.g. Ceaesar IV is bad game = fact.

Im not fan of FPS's, I never liked them, so Im not trying to defend Black Ops. Just stating...guess what...my opinion.

Its between Red Alert 3 and Sim City: Societies. There predecessors were perfect and these games fucked it all up. Red Alert 3 had bad acting, bad level design and worst of all they took all the things that made previus C&C's great and mixed them into a frickin jambalaya of shit. Sim City: Societies made things unrealistic and boring, building a city to ages because you had to build EVERY frickin house in the city manually and put large paintings right next to the bedroom window of every house so they would be satisfied and happy!

I suppose some people prefer to stick to the formula they love from a game. But i can't be the only one thinking that a game has to be different to a degree to even be called another game in a series.
But thats me.

Tiberium Twilight is the worst C&C game ever made in 15 years of the franchise for me. WHY?! WHY Did EA have to steal the franchise from westwood. Red Alert 2 was briliant and then everything after than bar Generals maybe was shit.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
It seemed like it was gonna be amazing and then it was such a boring and frustrating experience it sucked out all of the promise it had.

I don't have very high standards when it comes to games as I know that I could not have done better at making a game myself (I can't animate a stickman correctly) so I can happily say that I enjoy most games I play even if it has its flaws.
However the only game that has really let me down was FarCry 2. I really tried to like it and hell; it had a good map editing mode but the gameplay just didn't get along with me at all.

Not to nitpick, but your post seems to imply that everyone here is designing games.

I bought Tekken 6 for ten bucks, does that count?

Anyway, worst game...worst game...MoH: Vanguard was pretty terrible. I played it once and I haven't touched it since. Oh man, the controls were so terrible and level design was pretty awful too. It's so bad that I never played a MoH game since.
The PS3 port of FEAR was also pretty rage inducing, but that's mostly because of the horrible load times and how over-hyped it was. Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku was a pretty painful experience. Hitman: Contracts is kind of rage inducing ONLY because it somehow lags on my PS3.
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly was a pretty painful experience, but maybe that's because of the immediate comparison to the original trilogy was (Ripto's Rage has a special place in my thimble of a heart).

No, no. I need to go further back. Back to the first playstation, back in the day when I still got games as presents and bought things without researching them first. Fuck, Space Jam was pretty awful, so was A Bug's Life. I nearly forgot about it until I saw how high it's score was on PSN (are people really that stupid?). Beast Wars was also pretty awful, epsecially considering how awesome the TV show was. Wait, it's coming back to me...Rascal is the worst god damn piece of shit game I ever played. It would be quicker stating what I liked about it, because I'd have to say nothing. I don't have to talk about the level design or lack of direction, all I have to say is that your main weapon is a squirt pistol that shoots bubbles. Wat. I have to fight a dragon with that? No. Just no.

Im not saying ive missed out in the latest generation of games (in actual fact ive played so much i cant remember how many), its just theres no more actual 'heart' going into the development of games.

Some games like Uncharted, Fallout 3, Mass effect (and a fairly large amount of Indie games for a fact) do take the game as a actual form of care and take their time to complete their respected games.

May it be the Developer or the Developers Owning Publisher. Lately games are rushed in a one year timespan, (From Development greed, to the gaming community itself) or are a well developed cared-for game that is tested to a point of perfection.

(Dont put DNF into a reference here, the game went through many changes and, completely redone many times. When 2K stepped in to continue production it had to be almost started from the ground up in design. In its 12 year development, only 1-2 years was actually placed into the final product)
