This thread is a joke. None of you have ever played bad games. Anyone who lists a modern AAA game and isn't under the age of ten should be ashamed of themself, either for being a lying bastard using the thread as an opportunity to post hyperbole about games they just didn't like or for not having played very many games. If Black Ops is the worst game you have ever played, you must be so lacking in gaming experience that I'm not really sure why you're even bothering to post in a discussion like this.

i named black ops as one of my worst because its an honest opinion. no i have not played a lot of the bad games listed and would probably listed them if i had. i honestly thought black ops was a horrible horrible game. and i honestly thought ocarina of time was even worse. but i tend to listen to critics when they all say a game is bad like kane and lynch 2 and so i dont play them. im sure there are worse games out there i havent played. but this thread is about games that i have played.
Here: http://www.2600online.com/et.asp

That is what a bad game is like. Now your answer can be an actual bad game.
touche. fine ET is my number one. the other two are still two and three though. i honestly didnt like them. nay hated them
Might I recommend Custer's Last Stand (NSFW, also not safe for your opinion of the human race), the CDi Zelda games, Superman 64, Busby 3D. For true hilarity, try to find a copy of Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing (you will probably cry).

People have largely forgotten what bad games are actually like.
this man speaks the truth.
anyhow. a truly digustingly awful game was one i played on the good ole' NES. it was called RAID 2020 or something and was made by a company called colourdreams. seriosly if you haven't played a colourdreams game then you aint seen nothing yet. go search up some reviews of thier games on youtube.

Tough decision. I don't really like saying I hate a game. I've had games I didn't enjoy as much as others. But I always have a general idea about what I will think of a game before I buy it. These are some games which I didn't really enjoy that much:

Halo: Reach. I loved all the other Halo games, but I had all my best times on Halo 3, and ODST, so Reach just wasn't the same for me.

Dead Rising 2. A zombie, free roam game. Complete with golf buggy's and novelty weapons of destruction. Sound god, right? I had fun for a while, but it just wasn't like I had pictured it in my head, I watched some gameplay, it looked good. Yet I didn't really enjoy it that much.

Mass Effect. From what I heard from nearly 3/4 of the worlds population it seemed like it would be a fantastic game. I played through a bit of it, it was an alright game. just not for me I guess. I never really fully enjoyed it, despite how much I wanted to.

This. This was some stupid shit.
Me and my brother only rented it because we saw the Back to the Future section on the back of the box. We didn't last that long.
My excuse was I bought my gamecube preowned and it was one of the games that came with it.

Call of Duty Black Ops.
Now now, let me explain.
I've realised that the CoD series has come a long way, but you'd think by now they'd have something alittle more unique. I have seen zero change between Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, other than this dolphin dive business. I'm just surprised that games can gain so much attention when they're dead the same as its predecessor. Games are becomming too generic to be fully enjoyed as a new experience.

Yeah, Halo was the worst game you've ever played. Sure, I TOTALLY believe you. And if you honestly think that the story is bland and uninteresting, I have one thing to say to you; to quote Joey of Yu-Gi-Oh! the Abridged Series "Someone's not familiar with the expanded universe"

OT: I don't go out of my way to play bad games, and I only started gaming in 2006 so I'm almost tempted to say Deus Ex 2 or World of Warcraft (that game turned me off of MMOs faster than you can say "terrible level design" and it wasn't until recently that I found out that there were other, good MMOs actually worth playing) but ultimately it comes down to a tie between Fracture and The Force Unleashed 2. Both games play all right I guess, that is to say, I would only occasionally get stuck in a wall, but the stories for both these games were insultingly shallow. The first Force Unleashed had an awesome, effectively Star Wars-y plot that filled in new information about the original trilogy while tying up the loose ends of the prequel trilogy for the people who for some inexplicable reason actually care about the prequel trilogy. It also showed us the origins of the rebellion and why it was so effective against the empire when one would expect a galaxy wide rebellion to be disorganized and wholly ineffective. The second game had practically broken game-play, especially during the segments when the camera was fixed, an uninteresting and shallow plot (You are a clone. OR ARE YOU?! Yes.) and an only marginally improved leveling system. Fracture on the other hand had an interesting concept, but the terrain deformation was clunky and difficult to control, the combat was adequate at best, incredibly frustrating at worst, and the plot... fuck me. The cut scenes would grace you with their presence once every few hours to prattle on about something boring, idiotic, pseudo-philosophical, or all of the above, and there was no attempt to advance the story during game-play, meaning the levels were essentially "go here, do this" over and over and over and over again with little to no motivation as to why you are killing wave after of enemy soldiers. And the ending, of course, sets up a sequel that they knew damn well wasn't going to get made. And yes, I realize there were games back in the 80s and 90s that were far worse than these games, but they were made before I was a gamer and I have no desire to go back and play a game which I know will be terrible, monotonous, and boring.

I believe you don't understand. Everyone has played games they didn't even bother with for a second, but when they play a game that is a sequel to their favourite series or something just completely hyped up, it will leave you/us/them a lot more disappointed than an actual crap game.

Worst being subjective, Black Ops is very understandable since the series has many fans and many of them hate the changes that were made in the recent COD:MW.

Super Smash Bros Melee. Yeah, that's right fanboys, I said Smash Bros. Having never played it before, I was able to nearly tie my brother-in-law, who played the game to excess. A "fighting game" in which button-mashing is just as likely to result in victory as intelligent play is not worth my time.
Everyone I have seen that button mashed in Melee killed them selves. I know it's your opinion and all but I can't believe you no matter what, you have to be very accurate in Melee to even be considered good.

Easily Dark Void. How they managed to make a game where u have a jetpack and can fly around shooting guys terrible is beyond me. The game ran out of money half way through, so it was like literally mission, mission, mission then BAM end of game.

ummm...i thought quake 1 on the n64 was pretty crappy...just because thats not the kind of game i'd ever played before. so i'd say that or.........i dont know. the only games i have played but not finished are Red Dead Redemption, which i dont think is bad, i just didnt wanna play it anymore. and Prototype. but i LOVE making a bloody mess of the citizens of new york, so not that either.

no idea, i play games that are at least good in some way.

Also, I hate how they started calling him "Eggman". He will always be Dr. Robotnik to me. Actually, in Sonic Adventure, Eggman was an insult ... so now he goes by that name? Ugh. Also, which sounds more vile and evil: Dr. Eggman or Dr. Robotnik?

I rest my case.
The reason they changed his name to Eggman was because he was ALWAYS Eggman in Japan, Robotnik was just a western thing.

It's [Dragon Age 2] also one of the only games i've ever played where the combat was so repetitive that I got a literal headache and had to take an aspirin after playing for more then an hour.
Reeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyy?
I'm serious. I got a headache from that game's combat and took over the counter medication for it.

Games I didn't bother to get past the first level, which would be:

Sniper: Ghost Warrior -I got this game 'cuz I loved being a sniper in class-based games and stuff so I thought this would be a little like Sniper Elite, but nooooo,it was terrible.I can't explain why,I just didn't even bother to get past the tutorial.

Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow -The usual SC games are pretty fun...that is,the ones made by Ubisoft Montréal,not Ubisoft Shangai, but sadly, this one was made by the latter.Again, didn't bother to get past the tutorial.

Kane & Lynch 2: I thought the first one was pretty good,it was some decent cover-based action with a decent story and great levels filled with variety, but the second was a completely different story.I'm not getting into much detail of how the story sucks and the gameplay isn't anything new and the cover system sucks,I'll just tell you to watch a video on the internet of playthrough and see what the visuals are like. They're supposedly events "filmed" on a crappy hand-held camera, but saying that is like saying Hitler was a bit of an asshole.Just, watch it.It's TERRIBLE.And the sprint function,CHRIST,it's fucking ridiculous.

Wait,WHAT?!Sorry for the possible double post, but RE4 was GREAT,you just had to get into that stuff first.I wasn't much of a horror games fan either, but this one was really entertaining.
