That would be Tiberian Twilight, for some reason, and I don't even know why. The story is decent, the gameplay can be quite fun, and it's better than a lot of shitty games. And yet I punch myself every time I remember giving EA 50? for this game. Death of a franchise, this one.

I don't make a habit of playing bad games, but the game I disliked the most would be X3: Terran Conflict. Probably because I had no clue what to do, how to control it or what anything meant. The enclosed novel of a manual was no help either. I got stuck in a trading screen 30 minutes in because it wouldn't tell me how to buy anything, how much anything cost, how much money I had and, most importantly, how to exit the trading screen. It's a shame, too, it came in such a lovely box.

I remember how excited I was to be getting Robot Wars on the Gameboy Colour for Christmas...

The joy of opening the box and creating my own robot, it was kinda dome-shaped with one of those flipper things the ones on tv used to flip the other robots upside down.

My first game, I went straight for the other robot, ready to flip it and...wtf it's just slightly bothering the health bar.

Then it turned out the only way to actually win was to park your robot on the other side of the flame pit and wait for the stupid AI to either drive over the flame pit which would destroy them almost instantly or watch as they'd just drive into a random pit somewhere.

I don't know anyone who had anything good to say about that game.

I'm going to take the unpopular opinion and honestly say World Of Warcraft. I don't believe it's the worst game out there, for anyone ready to jump down my throat, it's just the worst one I've played. But having time that is (arguably) valuable, I don't want to use it on known bad games.

I wanted to like it, truly. It was just so hard to get into and enjoy. I can honestly say I more enjoyed Sonic The Hedgehog, which seems to be a perpetual frontrunner in topics like this.

I challenge everyone who posts here to play one game that cost them less then $10 dollars, it'll make you a better game designer...
I wish games were that cheap... Even the retail discount stuff here is at least $20. But I'll take that challenge. I played Extreme Warfare Revenge for close to three years, and that was free.

Still more enjoyable than WoW.

I can't really think of games that I played that were terrible, just mediocre. I usually don't risk buying games, unless I do research on them first. In recent memory it was Final Fantasy XIII but even that wasn't terrible, just boring. *shrug*

Call of Duty (4): Modern Warfare: 2:

The storyline played out like a Michael Bay movie and was silly and far fetched. I didn't like the look of the game, particularly the strawberry jelly that ends up on your screed when shot. The 'cover' you had to take was all paper thin and the AI would know exactly where you were prone and even if you moved their gunfire would follow you. Way to totally ruin the shock of having your main character die.

The multiplayer makes me sick, my roommate used to play it all day. The fact that EVERYONE plays it and loves it makes it worse. I didn't play it much, but I'd usually get blown up by a noobtoob or I'd end up spawning in front of someone and getting shot immediately.

For all the other reasons see the ZP review.

Unfortunitly it was the last game I played, Call of Juarez: the Cartel. The dopes that made it had no F-ing clue how to put together a game. Its like they tried to borrow various elements from every other shooter, and put them through a blender and what came out was a mush of garbage.

I played and finished Daikatana.

Levels are uninteresting, weapons are more likely to hurt you than the enemies, enemies are cheap and the 'RPG' element is horrible.
Hell, the game was so broken it made my computer forget it had a D: partition(the location I installed all my games to) when I uninstalled it.
Daikatana gets bonus points for the supernatural amount of hype surrounding it too. It was supposed to be the best thing ever and innovative and new. They pounded us with hype for YEARS before that sucker came out.

I feel bad saying this, but... Probably Halo 3...

I've nothing against the franchise, but I had that game for a while and I got no fun out of it, whatsoever. Maybe because I was kinda new to gaming at the time or whatever, but I hated it.

I'm sure there is much worse out there, but I don't tend to get games I don't like. Usually if I get a game, I've made sure I'll get at least some fun out of it.

EDIT: Wait a sec, I've played through FFXIII before. That takes the cake easily.

Wow, I had forgotten all about this one. I was going to say Athena for the NES, or Deadly Towers, but I think you win.

Worst game I have ever played?

I know I'm gonna take flak for this, but Half-Life 1. I played the Orange Box, loved it and decided to play Half-Life 1 to get the backstory. Oh dear God. That game had the pacing of an old man with a walker walking across the country, the story was practically incomprehensible (I was able to get Half-Life 2's story completely) and the game JUUUSSSSTTT DRRRRUUUGGGG OOOOOOONNNNNN!!!!

In my humble opinion, the only thing that was good about Half-Life was that it paved the way for Half-Life 2. That's it.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned it yet, so I'll do it.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2006.

I've been a lifelong Sonic fan (I even enjoyed HALF of Sonic Unleashed), but this game just felt like a betrayal of everything Sonic was, even after he went to 3d (which I don't think was as much of a failure as everyone keeps saying).

It was slow, it was laggy, the plot was incomprehensible, many parts of the story-gameplay were unnecessary, the character of Silver was a fucking joke, the character of Elise was a fucking abomination, the loading times were absolutely colossal, the soundtrack wasn't up to much, aaaaannnd that's about it.

I will say one thing in it's favour though: Best. Eggman. Ever.
I played a demo at a gamestop and it was completely uncontrollable. I played it for less than five minutes and I didn't like it. X-P

I think one of the best Sonic games (this is just me, though) was Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast. Perhaps the voice acting might have not been great, but the soundtrack was fantastic and, back in 1999, the graphics were totally out of this world! :D

Also, I hate how they started calling him "Eggman". He will always be Dr. Robotnik to me. Actually, in Sonic Adventure, Eggman was an insult ... so now he goes by that name? Ugh. Also, which sounds more vile and evil: Dr. Eggman or Dr. Robotnik?

I rest my case.
