I really didn't "hate" Crystal Skull, I just hope to high heaven that they come up with a better overall plot for this one that doesn't reference Erich Von Danniken. Also, Indy had better shoot somebody in this film gawdemmit!

Really, Spielberg just needs to take away more of Lucas's influence on the films...

Crystal Skull is the most overtly "George Lucased" of the Indy flicks, just as Last Crusade is the most Spielberg of them, says something about the two doesn't it?

I refused to watch IV and I'll refuse to watch V. The end of Crusade, with the gang (including the late, great Denholm Elliott) riding into the sunset was a perfect conclusion to a classic trilogy.

As long as they stop when Harrison Ford can't be Indy any more, I'm all for more movies. They can't put anyone else in his place though, in my opinion. You can't replace him as Han Solo either.

I can deal with aliens and silly plot twists, but the script in indy 4 was terrible. The whole son thing was so amazingly artificial it made me want to gauge my ears off. I hate it when films decide to introduce a random son with the generic strained relationship with his father and the inevitable acceptance they share...it's just so amazingly artificial..

Oh right, how could I forget? The small amount of screen time that the alien gets is completely out of line with Deamonic mind controling blood cults, immortal knight guardians, the Holy Grail, and Nazi's finding the Ark of the covenant, and all of the action sequences Indy gets away with. My bad.

Aaa but those are supernatural legends belonging to the myths. Aliens aren't even from this world, they're not supernatural legends, they don't belong in an Indy flick. Some Aztec or Mayan or whatever god would've done fine, but nooo they went for frakking aliens. Makes me a sad panda.

They need to leave Indy alone now. it went out on a very low note. crystal skull, imo, was absolutely terrible. I will not watch Shia LePUKE's replace Indy. This is a very bad idea.
